Stan State Athletics returns home this week for a full slate of competition in Turlock, highlighted by Homecoming and Senior Day at Fitzpatrick Arena along with multiple softball and baseball contests.
Softball hosts Simon Fraser on Tuesday (2 / 4 p.m.) before Homecoming tips off Thursday night with Women's Basketball vs. CSU Dominguez Hills at 5:30 p.m. and Men's Basketball vs. CSU Dominguez Hills at 7:30 p.m. Baseball opens its series with Western Oregon on Friday at 6 p.m.

Senior Day takes center stage Saturday as Women's Basketball hosts Cal State Los Angeles at 1 p.m., followed by Men's Basketball at 3 p.m., while baseball continues its doubleheader against Western Oregon (1 / 4 p.m.). The weekend concludes Sunday with baseball hosting Western Oregon at noon.

WARRIORS EARN FIVE NCAA DIVISION II PROVISIONAL MARKS
Stan State currently has five NCAA Division II provisional qualifiers listed on the national performance list. Mila Real ranks 30th nationally in the 400 meters at 55.63, while Annie Wild sits 20th in the 800 meters at 2:09.90 and fifth nationally in the mile at 4:41.94. The Warriors' distance medley relay team of Crystal Hernandez, Real, Izzy Soto and Wild ranks ninth in the nation with a time of 11:38.87, and Alexis Nino is 10th nationally in the shot put with a mark of 15.15 meters (49-8.5). The complete field for the 2025-26 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships will be announced March 3 on NCAA.com, with the national meet scheduled for March 12-14 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

SOFTBALL GOES 5-0 AT STAN STATE INVITATIONAL
Stan State softball went a perfect 5-0 at the Stan State Invitational, outscoring opponents 28-8 over five home victories. The Warriors hit .280 as a team with 35 hits and 24 RBIs while posting a .381 on-base percentage. In the circle, Stan State combined for a 1.27 team ERA across 33.0 innings, allowing just six earned runs while striking out 14. The undefeated weekend lifted the Warriors to a 5-0 home record to open the season.
Offensively, Katelyn Bridgeman led the way with a .438 average (7-for-16), scoring six runs and driving in four while adding three stolen bases, earning the tournament's Most Outstanding Player honors. Nat Camarena contributed four hits and three RBIs, while Sadie Salas added four hits and three RBIs of her own. In the circle, Yaya Himes went 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA in 14.0 innings, allowing just one earned run and no walks while striking out four, earning All-Tournament Team recognition. Alexis Camberos also finished 2-0 with a 0.93 ERA over 15.0 innings with seven strikeouts.

MEN'S BASKETBALL SET FOR HOMECOMING AND SENIOR DAY
Stan State men's basketball (12-12 overall, 8-10 CCAA) currently sits tied for seventh in the CCAA standings as the conference race tightens behind undefeated Cal State East Bay and second-place Cal State Dominguez Hills. The top six teams advance to the CCAA Championships Tournament, and the Warriors are firmly in the hunt — sitting two games out of fourth place and just one game out of fifth with four conference games remaining.
Stan State will host Cal State Dominguez Hills (14-4 CCAA, 18-6 overall) on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m. as part of Homecoming, before welcoming Cal State Los Angeles on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. for Senior Day. The Warriors are led by Malachi Johnson's 13.0 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, while Donjae Lindsey averages 12.4 points per contest and Lloyd French adds 10.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Saturday's Senior Day contest will recognize Daniel Ameyaw, Jason Cibull, Javon Johnson, Tahjae Ordonio and Jordan Smith for their contributions to the Warrior program.

TRACK & FIELD COMPETES AT HUSKY CLASSIC
Stan State track & field competed at the 2026 Husky Classic at the Dempsey Indoor in Seattle, highlighted by multiple NCAA Division II provisional performances and a first-place finish in the distance medley relay. The quartet of Crystal Hernandez, Mila Real, Izzy Soto and Annie Wild captured the DMR title with a time of 11:38.87, earning an NCAA Division II provisional mark. Real also recorded a provisional time of 55.63 in the 400 meters and placed sixth in the 60-meter hurdles at 9.27, while Wild clocked a provisional 2:09.90 in the 800 meters. In the mile, Izzy Soto led the Warriors in 4:59.19, followed by Stevie Holguin (5:02.94) and Crystal Hernandez (5:04.85). In the field events, Reyna Dismukes posted marks of 5.30 meters in the long jump and 11.08 meters in the triple jump, while Alexis Nino threw 12.25 meters in the shot put and 15.72 meters in the weight throw to round out a strong weekend for the Warriors.

BASEBALL SPLITS SERIES 
Stan State baseball split its four-game series with Simpson and now sits at 7-3 overall on the season, marking the third consecutive series the Warriors have won or split. The Warriors hit .300 as a team with 42 hits and 28 RBIs over the four contests. Kian Sanchez led the offense with a .533 batting average (8-for-15), scoring six runs with two doubles and a triple while posting a .611 on-base percentage and .800 slugging percentage. Zach Lewis added nine hits and three RBIs, while AJ Carter drove in a team-best eight runs with a pair of extra-base hits.
On the mound, Austin Balentine earned a victory after allowing just one earned run over 5.0 innings, and he is now tied for ninth with 18 career wins on Stan State's all-time top-10 list. The pitching staff combined for 22 strikeouts across 35.0 innings as the Warriors posted a 4.11 team ERA during the series.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CONTINUES CCAA PLAY
Stan State women's basketball enters the final stretch of the regular season with four games remaining. The Warriors are led offensively by Alyssa Premo, who averages 11.2 points per game, while Mila Sarai Tau adds 12.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest. Eryn Gardner anchors the interior with 9.0 rebounds per game to go along with 9.1 points. The Warriors will host Cal State Dominguez Hills on Thursday for Homecoming before welcoming Cal State Los Angeles on Saturday for Senior Day, when Stan State will recognize Alyssa Premo and Kristan Andersen as the program's two seniors. The Warriors will then close out the regular season on the road at Cal State East Bay (Feb. 26) and San Francisco State (Feb. 28).

WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS IN TWO EARLY-SEASON MATCHES
Stan State women's tennis dropped a 7-0 decision to UC Davis at the Stan State Tennis Courts before falling 4-3 at Fresno Pacific in PacWest play. The Aggies swept doubles and claimed all six singles matches in straight sets in the home opener as the Warriors moved to 1-1 on the season. In Fresno, Stan State earned a doubles win at No. 3 from Maiah White and Emi Mikami and picked up straight-set singles victories from Parker Orlando (No. 4), White (No. 5) and Mikami (No. 6), but Fresno Pacific secured the doubles point and wins on the top three singles courts to clinch the narrow victory. The Warriors now sit at 1-2 overall as they continue early-season competition.

MEN'S GOLF FINISHES TIED FOR 10TH AT CSUSM FUJIKURA INVITATIONAL
Stan State men's golf finished tied for 10th place with Jessup at the CSU San Marcos Fujikura Invitational after three rounds at Shadowridge Country Club. The Warriors posted a three-round total of 899 (+35), carding rounds of 301, 289 and 309 on the par-72, 7,002-yard layout. Owen Bascom led Stan State with a tie for 18th at 219 (+3), highlighted by a second-round 69 (-3). Riley Kirk tied for 33rd at 222 (+6), Carson Diaz tied for 45th at 225 (+9) with a second-round 70, and Chase Bird placed 65th at 235 (+19). Competing as an individual, Jesse Verheul finished 71st with a 244 (+28). Stan State will return to action Feb. 23 at the Visit Stockton DII Invitational at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton.

OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD SEASON OPENS SATURDAY
Stan State men's and women's track & field will open the 2026 outdoor season this Saturday at the Sunbird Invitational hosted by Fresno Pacific at Ramirez Field in Fresno. The Warriors' outdoor slate continues March 6-7 with the Kim Duyst Invitational at Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium before traveling to the Mark Conover Classic (Mar. 21), West Coast Relays (Mar. 27-28), and a busy early-April weekend that includes the Brutus Hamilton Invitational, Mike Fanelli Track Classic and Stanford Invitational. Mid-April competition features the Bryan Clay Invite, Mt. SAC Relays and Leopard Invitational before the CCAA Track & Field Championships (Apr. 30–May 2) in San Marcos. The season concludes with the NCAA Division II National Championships set for May 21-23 in Emporia, Kansas.

DONNA PIERCE WARRIORS OF THE WEEK
The Donna Pierce Warriors of the Week are Katelyn Bridgeman, Yaya Himes, Lloyd French and Mila Real, recognizing four standout performances across Stan State Athletics during an impressive stretch of competition.

Katelyn BridgemanKatelyn Bridgeman was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Stan State Invitational after leading the Warriors offensively during a 5-0 homestand. She hit .438 (7-for-16) with six runs scored and four RBIs while posting a .500 on-base percentage. Bridgeman recorded two multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 performance with two runs scored against Central Washington and a 2-for-4 outing with an RBI versus Saint Martin's. She also drove in two runs in another win over Central Washington and added three stolen bases on the weekend to consistently pressure opposing defenses. Behind the plate, she totaled 16 putouts and four assists without committing an error in five games.


Yaya HimesYaya Himes earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Stan State Invitational after anchoring the Warriors in the circle with two complete-game performances during the 5-0 week. She went 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA across 14.0 innings, allowing just 10 hits and two runs, only one earned, while issuing zero walks and striking out four. Himes opened with a complete-game win over Dominican and followed with a seven-inning shutout against Menlo.



Lloyd FrenchLloyd French turned in a strong weekend on the hardwood to help keep Stan State in the CCAA postseason race. The senior scored a career-high 19 points in a 70-53 road win at Cal Poly Pomona and followed with 17 points in a 73-72 overtime loss at Cal State San Bernardino, totaling 36 points across two games. French shot 52.2 percent from the field, 40 percent from three-point range and 76.9 percent from the free throw line while adding four rebounds, three steals and a block.



Mila RealMila Real delivered a record-breaking performance at the 2026 Husky Classic in Seattle. She ran a school-record 55.63 in the 400 meters, breaking her own indoor mark while posting an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time that currently ranks 30th nationally. Real also contributed to Stan State's distance medley relay team that posted an 11:38.87 time, ranking ninth in the nation.
