Box Score FRESNO, Calif. – Stan State women's tennis dropped a 4-1 decision to Saint Mary's College on Saturday afternoon at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.
The Gaels secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Emma Yu and Abbigail Mulick fell 6-1 at the top spot, while Parker Orlando and Katrine Damjaer dropped a 6-2 decision at No. 2. Despite strong energy early, Saint Mary's carried momentum into singles play.
The Gaels earned straight set victories at the top four singles positions to clinch the match. Yu competed at No. 1 singles, while Abbigail Mulick and Orlando battled at Nos. 2 and 3. Damjaer rounded out the upper half of the lineup at No. 4. Stan State's lone point came at No. 6 singles, where Emi Mikami earned a win by default.
While the final score did not fall in the Warriors' favor, the match provided valuable experience against a strong West Coast Conference opponent and continued to test the lineup against high-level competition.
