April 13–19
Stan State continues its spring slate with a busy week highlighted by postseason and home competition across Warrior Athletics. Men's golf hosts the 51st Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Turlock Golf & Country Club, where the Warriors will honor senior Chase Bird following the final round. Women's tennis heads to Surprise, Arizona, for the PacWest Championships beginning Wednesday, while track & field competes April 16–18 at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa and the Leopard Invitational in La Verne. Softball will travel to San Francisco State for a make-up doubleheader on Monday at noon before returning home to host Cal State Monterey Bay in a four-game series April 17–18, while baseball hosts Chico State in a four-game CCAA series April 17–19.

Men's Golf to Host Loaded Field at Hanny Stanislaus Invitational
Stan State men's golf prepares to host the 51st Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational April 13-14 at Turlock Golf & Country Club. The 54-hole tournament will feature 8 a.m. shotgun starts on both days as the Warriors welcome a competitive field to their lone home event of the season. Stan State enters the week ranked 13th in the latest Scoreboard West Region rankings as the team continues to position itself for postseason consideration. The Warriors will also honor senior Chase Bird following the final round on April 14.

The field will feature several of the top 11 teams in the West Region, including No. 1 Western Washington, No. 2 Cal State East Bay, No. 4 Cal State San Bernardino, No. 5 Chico State, No. 7 Cal State San Marcos, No. 8 Cal State Monterey Bay and No. 9 Dominican (Calif.).

Women's Tennis Finishes Regular Season with 1-1 Week
Stan State closed out the regular season with a 1-1 week, defeating Jessup 7-0 before falling 6-1 to No. 23 Azusa Pacific, finishing 7-9 overall and 7-5 in PacWest play. The Warriors swept all courts against Jessup behind strong doubles play and straight-set wins from Emma Yu, Abbigail Mulick, Katrine Damkjær and Maiah White, then carried that momentum into Senior Day against Azusa Pacific, where Parker Orlando earned the lone point with a 6-4 victory at No. 4 singles and White pushed her match to a third-set tiebreak.

Orlando and White led the Warriors in singles play this season with 10 wins each, while Damkjær added five wins primarily at No. 3. In doubles, the pairing of Mulick and Yu led the team with five wins at the top position.

Stan State will face No. 25 Azusa Pacific in the opening round of the PacWest Championships on Tuesday, April 15, at 1 p.m. The Warriors will then face either Menlo or Fresno Pacific on Thursday, April 16, at 1 p.m. in either the semifinals or consolation round, with the tournament concluding Friday, April 17, at 1 p.m.

Warriors Post Top Marks in CCAA Across Events
Stan State track & field has recorded multiple top-10 marks in the CCAA across a wide range of events this season, highlighted by strong performances on both the track and in the field. Andrew Bishop ranks fourth in the conference in the 100 meters (10.50) and fifth in the 200 meters (21.11), while Blayne Siebert sits ninth in the 200. Timothy Miles ranks seventh in the 110-meter hurdles and 10th in the 400-meter hurdles, while Ahlia Albergottie is fourth in the 400-meter hurdles.

The distance group has also shown depth, with Megan Silva (No. 4), Izzy Soto (No. 6) and Crystal Hernandez (No. 9) all ranking in the top 10 in the 800 meters, while Soto (No. 6), Silva (No. 8) and Hernandez (No. 9) are also top-10 in the 1500 meters. Isabela Moreno ranks sixth in the steeplechase. In the relays, the men's 4x100 team ranks second in the CCAA, while the 4x400 sits sixth.

In the field events, Eric Green leads the conference in the long jump with Ivan Mendoza third, while Reyna Dismukes ranks fourth in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump. In the throws, Mason Phillips ranks third in the shot put and sixth in the discus, while Alexis Nino leads the CCAA in both the shot put and hammer throw. Logan Edwards (No. 3), Luke Giannotta (No. 4) and Phillips (No. 6) all rank in the top six in the men's hammer throw. Stan State continues its outdoor season April 16–18 at the Bryan Clay Invitational and Leopard Invitational as the team prepares for the championship portion of the season. All marks and times are as of April 12.

Softball Stays in CCAA Race as Make-Up Games Loom
Stan State enters the week at 16-16 overall and 5-11 in CCAA play, sitting eighth in the conference standings and remaining in the hunt for one of the five postseason spots. The Warriors are led offensively by Katelyn Bridgeman (.383), Malia Babasa (.316) and Nat Camarena (.306), with Bridgeman leading the team with 19 RBIs and Addie Meddings adding 17. In the circle, Alexandria Himes holds an 8-4 record with a 2.03 ERA, while Alexis Camberos has added four wins and a save.

With a tightly packed middle of the standings, Stan State remains within striking distance of the top five. The Warriors will make up two games at San Francisco State on Monday, April 13, beginning at noon, with Friday's postponed games to be rescheduled. Stan State then returns home April 17-18 to host Cal State Monterey Bay. The top five teams at the conclusion of the regular season will advance to the CCAA Championship Tournament May 6-9 in Hayward.

Baseball Opens Key Eight-Game Homestand Against Chico State
Stan State enters the week at 16-20 overall and 7-12 in CCAA play following its series at Cal State San Bernardino, remaining in the mix in a tightly contested conference race.

Offensively, the Warriors are led by Kian Sanchez (.432), while Zach Lewis (.316) has a team-high 42 hits and 12 doubles. AJ Carter leads the team with 24 RBIs, with Mason Kelley adding 22. On the mound, Austin Balentine has five wins and 35 strikeouts, while Pierce Sailer has recorded four saves and Evan Fanconi is 2-0 in relief.

With three weekends remaining, Stan State sits just outside the top five in the CCAA standings—currently held by Cal State Monterey Bay, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State San Bernardino, and Cal State LA while Cal State East Bay and Cal State San Marcos are tied for sixth place—with 12 games left, including eight at home, to make a push into postseason position.  The Warriors will begin an eight-game homestand April 17-19 against Chico State as part of a four-game CCAA series.

Warriors Rank Second in CCAA, Seventh in West Region in Directors' Cup Standings
Stan State is ranked second in the CCAA and seventh in the NCAA Division II West Region in the latest LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings following the winter season. The Warriors have totaled 167 points and sit 69th nationally. Within the CCAA, Stan State trails only Cal Poly Pomona (No. 1 nationally) and sits ahead of Chico State (No. 76), Cal State East Bay (No. 78), Cal State Dominguez Hills (No. 94), Cal Poly Humboldt (No. 101), Cal State San Bernardino (No. 110), Cal State LA (No. 139) and San Francisco State (No. 141).
