Three Warrior women's tennis student-athlete earn Academic All-District honors

Orlando, White and Yu Earn Academic All-District Honors

TURLOCK, Calif.--- Three members of the Stan State women's tennis team have been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Team, selected by College Sports Communicators. The Warriors earning this prestigious honor are Parker Orlando, Maiah White, and Emma Yu.

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale), with GPAs not permitted to be rounded up. Transfer student-athletes must have completed one full calendar year at their current institution, while graduate students must maintain a 3.50 GPA as both an undergraduate and graduate student.

Orlando earns Academic All-District honors after posting an 11-8 overall singles record, primarily competing in the No. 4 and No. 5 positions. In doubles play, she teamed with Katrine Damkjær to record an 8-9 combined record, including a 5-7 mark and a 3-2 stretch as partners during the season. In the classroom, she was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, earned ITA All-Academic Team honors, was selected Academic All-PacWest, and was named to the Stan State Department of Athletics Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters.

White also garnered Academic All-District recognition after finishing with a 10-6 singles record, seeing action primarily in the middle of the lineup. In doubles competition, she recorded a 5-6 mark, highlighted by a 4-6 record with Emi Mikami and a 1-0 mark alongside Alessandra Del Pino Carvajal. In the classroom, she earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, was a member of the ITA All-Academic Team for the 2024-25 season and was named to the Stan State Department of Athletics Honor Roll this past fall.

Yu was named Academic All-District after posting a 5-13 singles record while competing in the top half of the lineup. In doubles, she teamed with Abbigail Mulick to tally a 7-10 overall record, including a strong finish winning five of her last eight matches. In the classroom, she has been highly decorated, earning ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, ITA All-Academic Team recognition, Academic All-PacWest honors, CSC Academic All-District honors, and D2ADA Academic Achievement while also being named to the Stan State Department of Athletics Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters.

As a team, Stan State finished the 2025-26 season with an 8-11 overall record and a 7-6 mark in PacWest play while earning key conference victories over then No. 11 Hawai'i Pacific, Dominican, and Concordia Irvine. Stan State advanced to the PacWest Championships and concluded its season with a 4-1 victory over Dominican in the seventh-place match.
