NEW ORLEANS---Seven Stan State men's and women's track and field student-athletes earned All-Region honors for the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season, as announced Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The top-five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, along with each member of the region's top-three relay teams.
Andrew Bishop earned All-Region honors in the men's 200-meter dash after running 20.98 at the 2026 CCAA Track & Field Championships on April 30. The Warriors' men's 4x100 relay team of Blayne Siebert, Andrew Bishop, Ivan Mendoza and Jaevin Sawyer also earned All-Region recognition with a time of 40.45 at the CCAA Championships.
Eric Green was honored in the men's long jump after recording a mark of 7.38 meters, or 24 feet, 2.5 inches, at the 2026 West Coast Relays on March 27.
In the throws, Logan Edwards earned men's hammer All-Region honors with a mark of 56.09 meters, while Alexis Nino was named All-Region in the women's hammer with her mark of 55.04 meters at the Stanford Invitational on April 3.
The Stan State men's track and field team also saw multiple student-athletes earn All-CCAA honors, highlighted by a first team performance in the 4x100 relay by Blayne Siebert, Andrew Bishop, Ivan Mendoza and Jaevin Sawyer.
Individually, Andrew Bishop was a second team selection in the 200 meters, while Logan Edwards earned first team honors in the hammer throw.
On the women's side, Alexis Nino earned first team honors in the hammer throw and added a third team selection in the shot put.
Several current Warriors also rank among the top performers in program history. Andrew Bishop's 20.98 in the 200 meters ranks second all-time (2026), while Jaevin Sawyer (10.42, 2025) and Bishop (10.50, 2026) sit first and third, respectively, in the 100 meters, with Blayne Siebert also seventh at 10.73 (2026). The 4x100 relay team of Blayne Siebert, Andrew Bishop, Ivan Mendoza and Jaevin Sawyer set the school record at 40.45 (2026) earlier this season. In the field events, Eric Green ranks second in program history in the long jump at 7.38 meters (2026), with Ivan Mendoza also sixth at 7.17 meters (2026). On the women's side, Alexis Nino ranks second all-time in the shot put at 14.35 meters (2026) and sixth in the hammer throw at 54.89 meters (2023).
