TURLOCK, Calif.--- Coming off the most successful season in program history, Stan State men's soccer is poised for another championship run as head coach
John Powell announced the Warriors' 2026 schedule. The slate features six challenging non-conference matches against regional opponents before a 12-match California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) schedule.
The Warriors are coming off a historic 2025 campaign that saw them finish 17-2-1 overall, capture their first CCAA Tournament championship since 2012, spend two weeks ranked No. 1 in the nation and advance to the NCAA Division II Third Round. Stan State finished No. 5 in the final United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25 Poll after setting a school-record 14-match unbeaten streak.
The success extended beyond the field as Powell was named CCAA Coach of the Year, while he and assistant coaches Eduardo Flores, Desmond Madrigal and
Casey Clark earned United Soccer Coaches West Region Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
The Warriors also return one of the nation's top attacking groups. Leading the way are United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American, United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Month, United Soccer Coaches First Team All-West Region selection and CCAA Forward of the Year
Gerardo Flores, along with United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-American, United Soccer Coaches First Team All-West Region and All-CCAA First Team selection
Emmanuel Duran. Stan State also welcomes back All-CCAA Honorable Mention selections

Stan State opens the season with a challenging two-match road trip to the Pacific Northwest, facing Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponents Seattle Pacific on Thursday, Aug. 27, and Western Washington on Saturday, Aug. 29. The Warriors opened their 2025 campaign with victories over both schools at Warrior Stadium, defeating Seattle Pacific 2-1 and Western Washington 4-1.
The Warriors then return home for a four-match homestand beginning Thursday, Sept. 3 against Saint Martin's. Simon Fraser visits Warrior Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 5, followed by Hawai'i Pacific on Thursday, Sept. 10 and Dominican on Saturday, Sept. 12 to conclude non-conference play. Stan State defeated Simon Fraser (3-0), Saint Martin's (4-0) and Dominican (1-0) during the 2025 season. Saint Martin's and Simon Fraser compete in the GNAC, while Hawai'i Pacific and Dominican are members of the PacWest Conference.
Conference play begins Friday, Sept. 18 when Cal State Monterey Bay visits Warrior Stadium, followed by Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sunday, Sept. 20. The 12-match conference schedule also features the Warriors' first CCAA meetings with new conference members Menlo and Fresno Pacific, while UC Merced enters its second season in the league.
The Warriors then head to Southern California for matches at Cal State Los Angeles on Friday, Sept. 25 and Cal State San Marcos on Sunday, Sept. 27. Stan State defeated both opponents during its championship season, including a 2-1 home victory over Cal State Los Angeles and a 3-0 win over Cal State San Marcos in the CCAA Tournament championship match.
October opens with a home match against Cal State San Bernardino on Friday, Oct. 2 before the Warriors travel to Cal State East Bay on Sunday, Oct. 4. Stan State earned victories over both opponents in 2025, including a 3-2 road win over then-No. 24 Cal State San Bernardino and a 2-0 victory over Cal State East Bay in the CCAA Tournament semifinals.
Following a bye weekend, the Warriors return home to host UC Merced on Sunday, Oct. 11 before welcoming perennial conference contender Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday, Oct. 15. Stan State then travels to Atherton to face Menlo on Saturday, Oct. 17 in the programs' first meeting as CCAA opponents. The Warriors defeated both teams during the 2025 season, posting a 1-0 victory over then-No. 19 Menlo and a 1-0 road win over then-No. 16 Cal Poly Pomona.
The regular season concludes with a road match at Chico State on Thursday, Oct. 22 before the Warriors return home to host Cal Poly Humboldt on Saturday, Oct. 24 for Senior Night. Stan State wraps up the regular season Thursday, Oct. 29 with its first meeting against Fresno Pacific as CCAA opponents in Fresno. The Warriors defeated both Chico State and Cal Poly Humboldt during the 2025 regular season before closing conference play with their lone league loss at then-No. 10 Cal State Dominguez Hills.
The CCAA Championship begins Sunday, Nov. 1 with first-round matches at campus sites. The semifinals and championship are scheduled for Nov. 6 and Nov. 8 at Kellogg Stadium in Pomona.
The NCAA Division II Championship begins Nov. 12 with first-round matches at campus sites, followed by second-round contests on Nov. 14. Regional competition continues Nov. 19 and Nov. 21, while the national semifinals and championship are scheduled for Dec. 3 and Dec. 5 at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
