Reigning CCAA Freshman of the Year Olivia Maragos recorded three points on one goal and one assist while contributing to a goal in each of Stan State’s two matches during opening weekend. Maragos assisted on Kyndra Obermeyer’s goal just 1:50 into the second half of Thursday’s 2-1 loss to Concordia University Irvine before scoring the game-sealing goal in the 86th minute of Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Central Washington. The victory marked first-year head coach Adam James’ first career win as a head coach. Maragos started both matches and finished with four shots, including two on goal, in 130 minutes.
