Gerardo Flores contributed a goal and an assist during the Warriors’ 1-0-1 opening weekend in CCAA play, factoring into half of No. 2 Stan State’s four goals at home. He opened the weekend with an assist in the 61st minute on Samuel Villanueva’s game-tying goal in a 2-2 draw against Cal State East Bay. Flores then netted the equalizer in the Warriors’ 2-1 win over No. 21 Cal State Los Angeles — their first victory over the Golden Eagles in 18 meetings (0-17-2). His fifth goal of the season came in the 15th minute off a feed from Landon Leal Ruiz.
