VALENCIA, Spain — Former Warrior standout Joel Stallworth is golden as he helped the U.S. 4x400 relay team to a first place finish on Sunday at the IAAF World Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Stallworth receives a gold medal after running the third leg on the team in qualifying when the U.S. turned in the fastest prelim time of 3:08.07. He was subbed out for Greg Nixon in the final, when the Americans (3:06.79) beat Jamaica (3:07.69).
Stallworth was a two-tiime CCAA track & field Athlete of the Year after a stellar career as a basketball player at Cal State Stanislaus.
