RIVERSIDE -- A second half push fell short for Cal State Stanislaus Saturday night and the early-season road woes continued, as they lost their third consecutive game away from Warrior Arena, this time at the hands of the Cal Baptist Lancers, 67-57.

Prince Abidoye led the Warriors with 12 points and four rebounds. Matt Ibewiro was the Warriors' only other player to score in double digits, putting up 10 points and grabbing two rebounds. Justin Von Wright of Cal Baptist led all scorers with 14 points and eight rebounds, and the Lancers used a late 12-3 run to outlast the Warriors.

The Lancers improve to 7-3 overall, while the Warriors fall to 4-3. After opening the 2009-10 season with four straight home wins to move to 4-0, the Warriors have dropped three straight road games, including opening the California Collegiate Athletic Association schedule with an 0-2 mark.

Larry Drew and Luke Evans each finished with 10 points for the Lancers, and Kelly Johnson turned in a solid all-around performance with nine points, eight rebounds and five assists.

Cal Baptist opened the second half with a quick 13-6 flurry to open the game's largest lead at 19 points, 46-27, with 13:05 to play. At that point, the Warriors responded with an energetic 16-2 run, sparked by six points each from Ibewiro and Abidoye. After trading baskets, the Warriors still hung within five points at 50-45 with 6:05 to play in the game, but the run quickly deflated and the Lancers put the game away.

The teams combined to miss their first 10 shots, and when Cal Baptist's Robert Rose made his first attempt with just 3 minutes, 29 seconds gone by, the Lancers took a 2-1 lead and never trailed again. They led 8-7 when Cesar Menjivar hit two 3-pointers and Rose hit one of his own to spur an 11-2 CBU run that gave them a 19-9 advantage.

The Warriors were held to just eight first half field goals as they shot 8-for-24 (33.3 percent) and turned the ball over 16 ttimes, allowing the Lancers to grab a 33-21 lead at halftime.

Von Wright, who had 11 points in the second half, sandwiched a pair of long shots from the corner around a Johnson3-pointer that sparked the decisive 12-3 run that put the game out of reach. Johnson's lay-up off a nice hesitation dribble drive among the bigs capped the run and gave the Lancers a 62-48 advantage with 3:39 to play.

The Warriors return to action in the new year, starting up CCAA action in Turlock when they host Cal Poly Pomona at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 2.
