Series Notes: The teams split the series in 2009-10 after a CSUSB six-game winning streak over the Warriors from 2006 to 2009 … The Coyotes lead the all-time series 25-7 after the Jan. 15 win in San Bernardino. They are 10-6 against CSUS in Turlock.
The Last Time We Met... was on Jan. 15 with the Coyotes pulling away in the final two minutes for a 75-66 win …
Evan Scott led the Warriors with 14 points and five rebounds that night.

Series Notes: Cal Poly Pomona lead the head-to-head series 20-6 after the 52-37 win on Jan. 14 to extend its win-streak over Stanislaus to five games … the last time the Warriors beat the Broncos was Feb. 15, 2008, in Pomona (64-62).
The Last Time We Met... was on Jan. 14 with the Warriors shooting just 27.3 percent and scored just 37 points …
Reggie Jones and
Mactar Gueye each had 11 points to lead Stanislaus.
About Cal Poly Pomona: The Broncos … Cal Poly Pomona is second the CCAA in scoring defense (59.4 points allowed per conference game) … Dwayne Fells, who averages 11.9 point per game, is second in the CCAA with a .603 FG%. He also leads the team with 6.1 rebounds per game … Kevin Menner scores 12.6 points per game off the bench.

The heat is on for the Warriors as they jockey for position in the standings during the final home weekend as they host Cal State San Bernardino and Cal Poly Pomona.
Last Week
Cal State Stanislaus became road Warriors as they won a pair of games away from home for the first time during the conference season. The Warriors beat UC San Diego, 71-66, and crushed Cal State East Bay, 81-64.
Sweet Road Victories
Not only did the Warriors finally pick up a much-needed win on the road, they earned the tough challenge of winning twice away from home. Stanislaus also did it the hard win, with a win in La Jolla and another in Hayward after the long bus trip.
Reggie Jones Nearing 300
Reggie Jones is just three points shy of 300 points for the season. He would become the first Warrior to do so since 2008-09 when Michael Dyson scored 314. Jones has scored 297 points in just 20 games (he missed two games due to injury) for an average of 14.9 per, which is the best scoring average since Heath Colvin's 15.0 in 2007-08.
Evan's Solid Weekend
Evan Scott also had a great weekend to contribute to the team's victories as the junior forward averaged 18.5 points per game. He was a combined 14-for-17 for 82.4 percent shooting from the floor.
Tournament Berth Up For Grabs
Cal State Stanislaus is now in a three-way tie for sixth place in the CCAA standings with Cal State L.A. and Chico State. The Warriors are seeking their first trip to the conference tournament. The top eight teams qualify for the postseason tournament, beginning March 1.
Free Throw Record
The Warriors are on pace to break a new team record in free throw shooting percentage. Currently the Warriors are 75.1 percent from the foul line. The team record was 73.4.
Head-to-Head Records
Head-to-head record would come into play when teams are tied in the standings before tournament qualification and seeding can be determined. Compared with teams currently tied with the Warriors, they are 1-1 against Cal State L.A. and 0-2 versus Chico State.
Offense Heats Up
Cal State Stanislaus, as a team, averaged 76 points per game last weekend, which is nearly 14 points better than the season average, which is now 62.8 points per contest … The Warriors are now 5-0 when scoring 71 or more points.

Cal State Stanislaus is fifth in the CCAA in scoring defense, allowing 63.2 points per game … The Warriors now second in free throw percentage (.750) … They lead the CCAA in blocked shots with 3.4 per contest and 62 total …

Head Coach Larry Reynolds
Larry Reynolds is in his second season as the Warriors' head coach. In his first season, the Warriors went 10-17, the first-10-win season since a 13-16 mark in 2006-07. Reynolds came to Cal State Stanislaus after leading Long Beach State to a NCAA tournament appearance in 2006-07 when the 49ers went 24-8. As a Division II coach at Cal State San Bernardino from 1997 to 2002, Reynolds posted a 110-35 overall record. Under Reynolds, CSUSB won three CCAA titles, two regional championships and made four NCAA tournament appearances. Reynolds was named CCAA coach of the year four times and was the west region coach of the year in 1998-99 following the Coyotes' West Region championship.
Fitzpatrick Arena
Warrior Arena was renamed Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena at the start the 2010-11 season. The arena is named for Ed and Bertha Fitzpatrick, owners of Valley Lexus/Valley BMW in Modesto and other car dealerships in the Bay Area. The Fitzpatricks have been long-time supporters of California State University Stanislaus. The gym has been named Warrior Arena since 1999, 21 years after it was built.
CCAA Basketball Championships
The 2011 CCAA Men's & Women's Basketball Championship tournament will be held at the beginning of March. Eight teams qualify for the event with first round games on campus site March 1. The four winners will advance to the semifinals and finals in Hayward on the campus of Cal State East Bay. The winner of the tournament would receive the automatic bid for the NCAA tournament.
Warriors picked 7th in CCAA
In a vote of the conference coaches, the Cal State Stanislaus men's basketball were predicted to be a conference tournament team by the end of the 2010-11 season. The Warriors were picked to finish seventh in the preseason poll. The Warriors are coming off a 6-16 CCAA season as they finished 10th. Defending national champion Cal Poly Pomona received 10 of 12 first place votes and is the favor to win the title in 2010-11.
