Beaumont, Calif. – After a long exhausting day the Cal State Stanislaus softball team wrapped up their season series with Cal State San Bernardino with two losses 14-1 and 14-7 in a California Collegiate Athletic Association doubleheader.

Due to bad weather the Warriors and Coyotes were forced to relocate for their final two games and suffered hours of postponement.  After the late night finish the Warriors are now 11-13 in the CCAA, 14-18 overall.  Cal State San Bernardino improves to 21-13 overall, 13-11 in conference play.

In game one the Warriors were shut down after five innings scoring just one run on two hits.  Once again, the Warriors scored early in the first to take a 1-0 lead.  Sarah Locarnini led the game off with a walk and then utilized her base running skills by stealing second and taking third on a sac bunt laid down by Missy CorralKiley Mendez then hit a sac fly to centerfield which allowed Locarnini to secure the lead.

Although, they started off on top the Warriors were unable to get any more hits off of, San Bernardino's, Brianne Godfredson.

Brittani Weatherford started out strong for the Stanislaus, but in the third inning could not get past the Coyotes hot bats, giving up 13 runs on nine hits.

The Coyotes took their dominant hitting into the nightcap taking an early 4-0 lead over the Warriors in the first.  Stanislaus answered back in the second when Lauren Nagle led the Warriors offensive momentum after reaching first from a hit by a pitch followed by Nicole Jenkins who reached on an error by the third baseman.  Brittney Rickles then doubled to left field which scored Nagle from second.  Laura Ginns then batted in Jenkins after grounding out to the shortstop, which brought the score to 4-2 in favor of the Coyotes.

The third inning became a problem for the Warriors once again after CSUSB scored nine runs on five hits, increasing the Coyotes lead to 13-2.

The Warriors would have one more big inning in the fourth after Corral hit a three-run homerun and after the Coyotes pitching walked in the seventh run for Stanislaus.  The Warriors would score one last time in the fifth, but it was not enough to capture the win.

Corral led the Warriors in the final game of the series batting 1-for-3 with one run and three RBI's.  Lauren Nagle batted 2-for-3 with one run and Rickles hit 1-for-3 with two runs batted in.

The Warriors return home Wednesday to take on Hawaii-Hilo.  First pitch at 1 p.m.
