TURLOCK, Calif.---Stan State softball student-athletes
Moxie Barton and
Alexandria Himes have been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, recognizing their success both on the field and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-District® Team honors student-athletes who have excelled academically while competing at a high level for their respective programs. To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average while also meeting competition requirements established by CSC for softball.
Barton, an infielder for the Warriors, appeared in 45 games with 41 starts during the 2026 season. She finished the year batting .311 with 37 hits, 19 runs scored, and seven stolen bases while posting a .964 fielding percentage. Barton also recorded seven multi-hit games during the 2026 campaign while posting season-best 10-game hitting and reached base streaks.
Himes was one of Stan State's top pitchers throughout the season, posting a 2.83 earned run average with a 9-6 record in 23 appearances and 16 starts. She pitched 116.1 innings with 45 strikeouts while recording three shutouts. Himes also registered a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in the circle
Earlier this season, Himes was named the FloCollege/CCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week after leading the Warriors to a series victory over Cal State San Bernardino. The junior from Rocklin, Calif., earned two wins in the circle during the series, tossing a pair of complete games while allowing just two runs and holding the Coyotes to a .196 batting average. In the series finale, Himes threw a four-hit shutout in a 5-0 victory while striking out four batters. Himes was also named to the All-Tournament Team at both the Stan State Invitational and the NorCal Crossover during the 2026 season.
To qualify for CSC Academic All-District® recognition, softball student-athletes must compete in at least 90 percent of their team's games or start in at least 66 percent of contests. Pitchers must make at least 17 appearances or pitch 35 innings. Nominees also must be at least sophomores academically and athletically.
