Going for Back-to-Back: The 2011 champion Warriors are seeking their second straight conference championship in this their third consecutive appeareance at the postseason event. This is the team's fourth time at the CCAA tournament (2005, 2010, 2011, 2012).
On the Road Again: Cal State Stanislaus is appearing in the CCAA tournament on the road for the first time. Cal State Stanislaus hosted this postseason event in each of the last three seasons. In 2005, the Warriors' first appearance at the CCAA championships, it was also in Turlock.
Road Warriors Tries to Stay Perfect: The Warriors will have to stay perfect on the road in 2012 to bring home the championship again. This season, they accomplished the daunting task of willing all away contests by going 9-0.
Warrior Soccer Representing: Cal State Stanislaus is the only CCAA institution to have both of its mens' and women's soccer teams qualify for this year's conference tournament. Cal State Stanislaus is also the first school to send both of its soccer teams to consecutive tournaments since Cal State Dominguez Hills did it in 2008-09.
Demery Named MVP: Karenee Demery has been named the CCAA's most valuable offensive player for the second time in her career. She led the CCAA with 18 goals, 39 points and nine game-winning goals. She won the award as a freshman in 2010 and was also named the Freshman of the Year.
Also All-CCAA: Adding to the All-CCAA teams are Warriors
Bernie Bettencourt and
Emily Relles. Bettencourt has four goals and six assists while Relles leads the CCAA with 12 assists.

Karli Nestler and
Allie Dugan received honorable mention from the conference's head coaches.
Scoring Threat: The three teams in this year's tournament have historically done a decent job of containing
Karenee Demery. Of Demery's 53 career goals, she's scored a goal each against UC San Diego and Cal Poly Pomona. She's scored five against Sonoma State, including a hat-trick earlier this season in Rohnert Park (Sept. 23).
Against the Tritons: The Warriors beat UC San Diego in La Jolla, 1-0, on Oct. 19 behind a 87th minute goal by
Apryl Whitney. After a long draught, Cal State Stanislaus is 2-1 in the last two meetings in this series (UCSD leads alltime 10-3-1), including a 2-1 win to open last year's CCAA Tournament.
In the Ranks: The Warriors are now ranked No. 5 in the NCAA West Region poll. According to the NSCAA, Stanislaus is No. 25 in the nation and tied for No. 3 in the West.
About UC San Diego (13-2-2): The Tritons won the CCAA South but is seeded No. 3 in the tournament based on points in the standings. UCSD has won three straight since the loss to Cal State Stanislaus. Ellen Wilson was named the CCAA's most valuable defensive player. UCSD placed eight players on the All-CCAA teams. Kelcie Brodsky leads the conferenec with a 0.51 GAA and .886 saves percentage.
