Box Score 2 SAN BERNARDINO —
Lauren Liming had three hits on the day, including a home run, to lead Stanislaus offensively but the Warriors came up short in both ends of the doubleheader on Saturday at Cal State San Bernardino.
The CSUSB Coyotes (7-9, 4-4 CCAA) won 8-5 and 10-9 to improve to 7-9 overall and 4-4 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association while the Warriors dropped to 7-9 and 2-6 CCAA.
Liming homered in the fourth inning of the opener to make it 4-1 in favor of the Coyotes, but San Bernardino rallied for four more runs in the fourth to make it 8-1. Stanislaus rallied late with three in the sixth and a single run in the seventh.
Kiley Mendez went 2-for-3 with a double and
Sarah Locarnini tripled for the Warriors. CSUSB belted three homers in game one with Alyssa Flores slamming a pair.
In the nightcap, and series finale, four Warriors had four hits each but Stanislaus came up short after surrendering a 9-6 lead after four.
Liming went 2-for-3 with a double, Kristan had two hits with a double and Locarnini also had two hits.
Amy Droege drove in four runs with her two hits.
