Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TURLOCK — More strong pitching performances by Sonoma State hurlers shut-down the struggling Cal State Stanislaus offense as the Seawolves won two more on Saturday to complete the series sweep.

Samantha Lipperd got a lot of offensive support in game one while earning a personal milestone in the 12-1, five inning opener. Amanda Llerena struck out 12 more batters in the 9-0 nightcap as Sonoma State, ranked 16th in this week's NFCA Top 25, improved to 25-8 overall and 18-6 in the CCAA.

For Cal State Stanislaus, the offense managed six hits on the day as the Warriors fell to 11-21, 6-18 CCAA heading into a very busy upcoming week.

The Warriors will host a pair of non-conference games against Montana State Billings on Wednesday. Then, all next weekend, Stanislaus hosts the 12th annual Tournament of Champions presented by Mizuno. The 26-team tournament features 83 games over three days at three locations in Turlock.

On Saturday, it was all Sonoma State as the Seawolves scattered 22 hits to score 21 runs. An 8-run third inning blew the game wide opener in the first game. Despite not getting a strikeout until the third, Lipperd fanned five in the final three frames to pick up her 1,000th career K.

In game two, the Warriors hung in the game at 3-0 until a six-run seventh by Sonoma State. Megan Koniczka had four hits, drove in four runs with a double and a homer in the twinbill to lead SSU's offense.

Brianna Nicholson was the only Warrior to had a multiple-hit day with a single in each game. In fact, she hit safely in each game of the series.
