Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TURLOCK — Mistakes defensively resulted in two losses for the Warriors softball team at their own Tournament of Champions presented by Mizuno on Saturday.

A five-run fourth wasn't enough to erase a six-run deficit as Cal State Stanislaus fell to Simon Fraser, 8-6, in the first game. In the nightcap, the Warriors lost to Hawaii Pacific, 15-3, in five innings as they give some starters some rest time heading into Sunday's bracket play.

The Warriors will play in the consolation bracket on Sunday as they take on Chico State (0-4 in tournament pool play), at 8:30 a.m. at Warrior Softball Field. The winner will face Western Oregon at 11 a.m.

In Saturday's two games, the Warriors made eight errors to tally 16 in five contest over two days.

Cierrah Mullins highlighted a five-run inning in the game against Simon Fraser with a two-run double. She finished 3-for-4 in that contest. Amy Droege and Brittany Rickles each had two hits as part of the 11-hit parade.

Hawaii Pacific used an eight-run four inning in the second game, which included six unearned runs, for the mercy rule win.

Sarah Locarnini went 2-for-2 with a two-run double in the second inning.
