Box Score SEASIDE — The Cal State Stanislaus men's basketball team takes over sole possesion of fourth place in the CCAA standings after the 72-54 win at Cal State Monterey Bay Saturday night.

Rob Walters took over the game as they led the Warriors run away in the second half.
Read scored a career high 25 points and Walters also had a career-high with 18 points to go with 11 rebounds for his sixth double-double.
Cal State Stanislaus, ranked No. 10 in the NCAA West Region poll, improved to 16-8 overall and 12-8 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. With Cal State L.A. losing to Cal Poly Pomona, the Warriors are in fourth place by themselves for the first time.
The Warriors are trying to stay in the top six in the standings for a berth into the postseason tournament. Cal State Stanislaus can finish no higher than third as the Warriors are three games behind third place Chico State (15-5) with two games to go.
These two remaning regular season games are next weekend here at home inside Fitzpatrick Arena, where the Warriors are 10-2. The Warriors host Cal Poly Pomona on Friday and Humboldt State on Saturday.
Stanislaus can clinch a tournament berth with a win on Friday or a loss by UC San Diego (at Cal State L.A.) or San Francisco State (vs. Cal State East Bay).
On Saturday against Cal State Monterey Bay, the Warriors out-scored CSUMB 29-3 in the final 10:13 of the game. The Otteres managed just a layup at 3:09 and a free throw with 17 seconds left during that period of time. The Warriors had unanswered runs of 19-0 and 10-0 to blow CSUMB away.
Walters scored 10 points during the 19-0 run that turned a 51-43 deficit into a 62-51 lead in five minutes. Read jump-started that run with a jumper for his 21st point.
Bell picked up two quick fouls early in the second half with just two points in the first half. He ended up with seven points and 11 rebounds.
