Better on the Road
So far this season the Warriors are better on the road at 6-1 than they are at home at 3-4. The Warriors have only posted two winning seasons on the road overall with 7-6 overall records. Stan State had three winning years in CCAA road games with 6-5 records.

Winning Seasons on the Road

Year Overall CCAA
2014-15 7-6 6-5
2011-12 7-6 6-5
2006-07 -- 6-5

Reversing the Trend
After a hot 9-2 start, the Warriors have found themselves in a three-game losing streak — all at home. The 2013-14 CCAA Championship team, which started the season 11-3, never lost three straight games that year.

Defensive Woes
Stan State allowed 90 points or more while opponents shot around 60 percent in two of the last three games. This was a surprising trend since the Warriors gave up less than 70 points (opposition shot 44 percent or worse) in each of the five previous games — all resulted in Warrior victories … Stan State remains in the top five in scoring defense, however. On average through nine games, the Warriors gave up 70 points per CCAA game.

Consistent Cleaves
Andy Cleaves
has been consistant on both sides of the ball lately. He has scored in double digits in four straight games (six of last seven). He was one-point away from seven straight double-figure games. In these seven games, he averaged 14.7 points per game and made 19 of 21 free throws (including the last 14 consecutive) … On defense, he's had three or more steals in five straight games while averaging 2.7 steals in the last seven contests.

Ro Rollin'
Role player Rolaun Dunham enjoyed his best game last Friday against Cal State San Marcos. He played 19 minutes and tallied career highs 13 points, four rebounds and two steals. He also made three three-pointers.

Gave Up the Long Shots
As a team, the Warriors have allowed a CCAA-most 94 three-pointers in nine league games. Opponents are averaging 10.4 treys a game and shot 37.3 percent. Last week, Cal State San Marcos made 16 and UC San Diego nailed 12.

Butter Fingers
Last Sunday against UC San Diego, the Warriors  uncharacteristically committed 22 turnovers, which is double their season average. It was just the second time this season that the Warriors had more turnovers than their opponents. Prior to Sunday's game, Stan State had just 89 turnovers in eight conference games.

Four 20-point Scorers
The Stan State team features four different Warriors posting games with 20 or more points this season. Andy Cleaves and Vida Faniel have each scored 20-plus twice. Kyle Gouveia and Caleb Baskett have also hit the 20-point mark this season … 11 different Warriors have scored double-digits in games (Cleaves 10 times).
