Tough Places to Win
Stanislaus State is heading into two arenas that are difficult to win for the visiting team, particularly for the Warriors. The last time a Stan State men's team won at Cal Poly Pomona's Kellogg Arena was Feb. 15, 2008. The Warriors have lost the last 10 games there since. At Cal State San Bernardino's Coussoulis Arena, the Warriors are 0-for-last four games there with the last win over the Coyotes on Jan. 11, 2013.
Better on the Road
The Warriors are one more road victory away from securing a winning regular season on the road (four away games remaining). Prior to this season, the Warriors had only posted two winning seasons on the road with 7-6 overall records (9 wins in 2014-15 and 11 wins in 2013-14 including neutral site games). Stan State had three 6-5 CCAA away-game seasons.

Davis Posts Three Career Bests
Last Saturday against San Francisco State, Ty Davis had another career game — this time posting three career best numbers. He scored 18 points, pulled 14 rebounds and had four steals. It was his best all-around game, statistically, since the triple-double of 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists on Nov. 15 against Cal State San Bernardino.
Five Warriors in Double Figures
Five Stan State Warriors scored in double digits (and accounted for 76 of 86 points) last Saturday. Ty Davis and Kaelen Mitchell each scored 18 points with Xavier Francois netting 15. Andy Cleaves had 13 and Vida Faniel chipped in 12 … This is the third time this season that at least five Warriors score 10 or more points in a game (Dec. 18 vs. Seattle Pacific; Nov. 15 vs. Cal State San Bernardino).
Passing Game Led to Assists
As a team the Warriors recorded 20 assists on 33 made field goals. The 20-assist total was the third best this season. They had 23 assists against Cal State San Bernardino (11/15/17) and Cal Maritime (12/16/17).Â
Against Ranked Teams
Stanislaus State will face a nationally ranked team for the second time this season when the Warriors take on No. 19 Cal Poly Pomona Thursday night. The Warriors lost to No. 16 Chico State, 73-59, on Nov. 25 in Chico … The last time the Warriors beat a ranked team was Feb. 20, 2016 in Turlock when they upset No. 20 Cal Poly Pomona, 80-68 in overtime … The 2013-14 team was 4-1 against Top 25 teams, including three upset wins in the postseason … Since the end of the 2013-14 season, the Warriors are 1-6 against teams ranked in the Top 25.
Offense Stays Hot
The Warriors shot 51.6 percent from the floor against San Francisco State last Saturday, marking it the fourth consecutive game that they shot 47.5 percent or better. In fact, in the last seven games, the Warriors shot under 47.5 percent in a game just once (32.1 on Jan. 6 at Cal State East Bay).
Winning Games Late
Stanislaus State has managed to hang on to leads late in the game and is now 11-0 in games they are leading at the 5:00 left to play mark.
