Stan State Goes 0-2 against the Toros on Day Two of Series

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CARSON – Stanislaus State went 0-2 on day two of the four-game series against the Toros. The Warriors went 1-3 against the Toros making their overall record 4-9 and CCAA record, 1-7. Cal State Dominguez Hills is now 6-5 overall and 4-4 in the CCAA. The Warriors unfortunately fell 11-5 in the afternoon and 4-3 in the nightcap.
 
Stanislaus State struggled to stay up with the bats of Dominguez Hills and fell short in the first game within the first two innings. Dominguez Hills scored seven runs in the first two innings and Stan State only scored one. The Warriors continued to struggle in the first game even though Kylie Ragsdale played a great game going 2-4 with three RBI and two runs herself, one being a homerun.  
 
Kyndra Marzorini took her third loss of the season in game two, now with a 3-3 record. On the mound, she had 4 K. Kylie Ragsdale took the loss for game one.
 
Aliyah Garvin went 3-4 with two runs and an RBI, Deja Guzman went 5-7 overall with a run in game two. Megan Stacy hit a double to right field running one in by Aliyah Garvin. Melissa spencer hit a double to center field allowing Joerdan Lovell to score. Deja Guzman also doubled out to right center in game two.
 
In the nightcap, the Warriors scored three in the top of the second and went silent the rest of the game and into overtime when the Toros scored one to win the game in eight innings.
 
The Warriors will take on UC San Diego in a four-game series starting on Februrary 22 at 3 p.m. at the Warrior Softball field.
