Box Score STOCKTON — A six-run ninth inning rally by San Francisco State changed the Warriors' fate quickly as the Gators defeated Stanislaus State, 8-5, to eliminate the Warriors from the CCAA Baseball Tournament.
The Warriors (30-23) now become the biggest fans of Cal State Monterey Bay. The best chance for Stanislaus State to advance to the NCAA Tournament would be if Cal State Monterey Bay wins the tournament for the automatic berth.
Stan State, which entered the week as No. 5 ranked team in the West Region, is now a bubble team and will have to wait to see if its season is extended when the NCAA announces the tournament field Sunday night.

A bases loaded balk called helped SF State in the rally. With one out and bags full of Gators, the one-out balk call plated the go-ahead run.
Brandon Scott got the next Gator to hit a grounder to third that could have ended the inning with a tied score.
Instead, the Gators capitalized on the opportunity with a two-run double by Trevor Rogers, then a triple by Riley Cleary and an error sored runs that made it 8-3.
Still, the Warriors had their opportunities for clutch hitting.
In the ninth, After a
Michael Wyatt lead-off homer, Stan State worked the bases loaded with one out and its big hitters lined up to bat. However, SF State closer Dylan Madole got out of the jam with two pop-ups to end the game and the Warriors' run in the tourney.
Gardner went 2-for-4 and drove in the two runs that gave the Warriors the 3-2 lead in the sixth.
Grant Bunker and
Braeden Oki each also had two hits.
Warrior starter
Kevin Hahn went 5-plus innings and gave up two runs on seven hits before closer
Matt Pulos entered in the sixth. Pulos was strong early before running out of gas after nearly 70 pitches.
The first game on Friday also steered the Warriors' postseason fate in a different direction. The Cal Poly Pomona, 1-0, 10-inning win gave the Broncos an easier path to the CCAA title and the berth into the NCAA Tournament. A Cal Poly Pomona championship would likely bump Stan State out of its No. 5 ranking and end the Warriors' year.
