Annabelle Mulick headlined set sweeps against Holy Names in their opening matches of the day. Dziewiecka/Huk and Cazarin/Mulick each took 6-2 victories, while doubles partners Hendryx and Tay clinched the tiebreaker win 9-7.
Impressive performances in singles play kept the ball rolling, as the Warriors won five out of their six matches against William Jessup. Tay and Hendryx took their opening set wins 6-0, and followed up with 6-1 and 6-2 victories to cap off their Friday competition. Dziewiecka, Cazarin, and Young all took set sweeps of their own.
DAY TWO: The team went head-to-head with William Jessup in their second day of play, going undefeated in their doubles matches. Partners Dziewicka/Mulick, Huk/Tay, and Cazarin/Hendryx all took wins against the "other" Warriors (7-5, 6-1, 6-1).
The team had their toughest challenge in singles matches against Nevada in the afternoon but fought hard to keep the Wolf Pack on their toes. Mulick took an early first set win 6-2 and stretched the match to three sets after winning four games each in sets two and three. Tay also asserted herself in the opening set, winning 6-2 and earning four game points in the second set and five in the third. Huk didn't back down from her UNR matchup, as she stretched her first set 5-7.
DAY THREE: Tay and Huck sparked off the first round of doubles on the final day of competition in another match against the host Wolf Pack. The tandem was unable to close out a close 5-7 final score but proved they could hold their own against stout Division I competition.
Singles matches against Holy Names ended with plenty of nailbiters, as Huk won two of her three sets (6-3, 6-4) to end the weekend with three total wins. Tay wasn't able to finish a close 5-7 opening set but fought tooth-and-nail to stretch set two to a tiebreaking 10-12 final. The true freshman Hendryx had her own tiebreaking set go 5-7 but managed to end the weekend with three tournament wins. Dziewiecka, Cazarin, and Tay all returned to Turlock with three total victories, while Mulick finished the trip to Reno with two.
