NEW ORLEANS---  As announced by the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), four members of the eighth ranked Stan State women's cross country team received All-West Region honors in Kaela Dishion, Najwa Chouati, Kayden Legan and Yahaira Zuniga. The Warriors captured the 2022 NCAA Division II West Regional Championship and punched their ticket to the 2022 NCAA Division II National Cross Country Championship on December 2 in University Place, Wash.

These four earned All-Region honors by finishing in the top 25 at the 2022 NCAA Division II West Regional Championships this Saturday, November 19 in Billings, Mont.  Dishion placed fifth with her time of 21:13.8 followed by Chouati in sixth place with a time of 21:23.7.  Finishing in tenth place was Legan with a time of 21:32.4 followed by Zuniga in 18^th place with her time of 21:43.

All four of these Warriors earned All-CCAA honors on November 5 as they finished in the top ten at the CCAA Championships in Carmel, Calif.  Stan State captured its second CCAA title while Dishion became a two-time CCAA Individual Champion. 

The Warriors will train the next week in preparation for the 2022 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships which are set for December 2 at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place, Wash., at 11:15 am (PT).  The race will be streamed live on www.ncaa.com.
