NEW ORLEANS, La.--- Stanislaus State junior
Annie Wild has been named a USTFCCCA All-American following her outstanding performance at the 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where she placed 24th overall. The honor makes Wild the fourth All-American in Stanislaus State women's cross country history.
Competing in 45-degree conditions at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course, Wild covered the 6K course in 20:52.3 to lead the Warriors to a 12th-place team finish — matching the best national result in program history. Her performance capped a remarkable 2025 campaign that also saw her win the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field national title in the mile and earn Outdoor All-America honors in the 1,500 meters with a fifth-place finish.
Wild joins an elite group of former Warrior greats to earn cross country All-America honors: Susan Carey (25th in 1990), Carrie Luis (15th in 1994), and Kaela Dishion (34th in 2022). She is the program's first cross country All-American since Dishion, further solidifying Stanislaus State's status as one of the premier programs in Division II distance running.
A two-time All-West Region and All-CCAA performer, Wild has been a model of consistency and excellence for the Warriors. Her USTFCCCA All-America recognition adds to a historic year — one that has made her one of the most accomplished distance runners in Stanislaus State history. She will now turn her attention to the upcoming indoor track and field season, where she will begin defense of her NCAA Division II mile national title.
