TURLOCK, Calif.--- After defeating Cal State Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon, the Stan State men's basketball team will begin a four-game road trip beginning with two conference games this week in Northern California. The Warriors will face Sonoma State this Thursday, December 8 in Rohnert Park. They will end their weekend in Arcata this Saturday, December 10 against Cal Poly Humboldt. Game times for both games are set for 7:30pm.
WARRIORS IN REVIEW: each with a team leading 17 three-point field goals made this season. Singleton is shooting a team high 45.7% from three-point land. Stan State enters this week with a 3-6 overall record and a 1-2 CCAA record. The Warriors are averaging 67.6 points per game while giving up 71.3 points per game. Benno Zecic had a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists. On Saturday, Stan State won its first CCAA game of the season by defeating Cal State Los Angeles 73-69 behind Ordonio's game high 23 points. Short chipped in 18 points and Pallesi added 13 points for the victors.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Benno Zecic recorded his first double-double of the season in the Warriors' game against Cal State San Marcos. The Alameda native scored 10 points and dished out 10 assists for Stan State.
Marlon Short has recorded five double-doubles in his career at Stan State after recording back-to-back doubles against Academy of Art (21 points, 10 rebounds) and Chico State (16 points, 10 rebounds) on November 22 and 26.
+2.0 ASSIST/TURNOVER RATIO: Benno Zecic has posted a +2.0 assist to turnover ratio this season with 62 assists and 31 turnovers in nine games. He has two games with double digits in assists in 11 on Nov. 22 versus Academy of Art and on Dec. 1 versus Cal State San Marcos. In seven of the Warriors' nine games, Zecic has recorded more assists than turning the ball over this season.

SONOMA STATE: The Seawolves are 2-7 overall and 1-2 in the CCAA after winning two of their last three games. Last week, Sonoma State went 1-1 with a 67-61 overtime win at Cal State East Bay and an 82-62 loss at Cal State Dominguez Hills. The Seawolves are averaging 71.7 points per game and giving up 78.7 points per game. They are outrebounding their opponents 33.3 to 32.4. Three players are averaging double digits in scoring in Jaylen Wells (23.0 ppg), Nick Klarman (11.8 ppg) and Austin Fadal (11.8 ppg). Wells leads Sonoma State with his 56.7% shooting from the field, 8.3 rebounding average, 20 assists and 14 steals. He is tied with Klarman each with 13 three-point field goals made while Nick Medeiros is shooting a team leading 41.2% from three-point land. CAL POLY HUMBOLDT IN REVIEW: The Lumberjacks are 4-4 overall and 3-0 in the CCAA. They have won four of their last six games including both games last weekend on the road at Cal State Dominguez Hills (71-69) and Cal State East Bay (84-71). The Jacks are averaging 80.8 points per game while giving up 82.6 points per game. They are outrebounding their opponents 39.3 to 37.9. Three players are averaging double digits in scoring in Jaden Edwards (16.8 ppg), Marlon Ruffin (16.7 ppg) and Malek Davis (12.3 ppg). Edwards also leads the team with his 8.3 rebounding average. Cam Timmons is shooting a team high 54.2% from the field. Davis has made a team leading 18 three-point field goals and shooting a team high 43.9% from three-point range. He also has a team high 23 assists and 12 steals. Timmons leads the team with his 12 blocked shots.
