TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State will return to the pitch this Thursday, October 12 for a 12:30pm starting match in Arcata against Cal Poly Humboldt. The Warriors will end their week with a 2pm starting match this Sunday, October 15 hosting Sonoma State.
LAST WEEKEND'S ROAD TRIP: The Warriors went 0-1-1 last week in Southern California. They played to a 2-2 draw at Cal State San Bernardino on Friday afternoon.

Haylee Heffner each scored goals for Stan State with
Makeila Yancey and
Marivic Lek-Miro recording the assists for the Warriors. They lost 3-1 at the CCAA leader, Cal Poly Pomona, on Sunday.
Arionna Imhoff scored Stan State's goal in the final minutes of the match.
UPDATE ON THE WARRIORS: Stan State enters this week with a 4-5-2 overall record and a 1-2-1 CCAA record.
Alexis Brewah leads the team with her five goals, four assists, 14 points, and two game-winning goals.
Haylee Heffner is second on the team with her three goals, one assist, and seven points followed by
Kayla Perez with three goals and six points.
Marivic Lek-Miro is next at one goal, two assists, and four points. Perez and
Amber Pon have the Warrior other two game-winning goals.
Natalia Ochoa has posted a 1.72 goals against average with a .714 saves percentage, and 35 saves in ten matches.
Malia Allen has a .786 saves percentage with 11 saves and a 1.05 goals against average in five matches. They each have shared on the Warriors' two shutouts.
HEAD COACH GABRIEL BOLTON: In his 19
th season at the helm of the Warriors, Bolton is 198-109-39. Last season, the Warriors went 10-4-4 overall and 7-2-2 in the CCAA and were CCAA co-regular season champions.
Alexis Brewah was the 2022 CCAA Newcomer of the Year and
Sabrina Cabrera was the CAA Midfielder of the Year. Brewah and Cabrera each were named to the First Team All-CCAA and the All-Region Team. Four Warriors were selected to the Honorable Mention Team in
Alexia Estrada,
Summer England,
Sunny Mancilla, and
Jocelyn Lopez. In 2013, Bolton was named the NSCAA West Region Coach of the Year and the CCAA Coach of the Year. He is the Warriors Women's Soccer All-Time Winningest Coach.
Bolton has guided the Warriors to nine postseason appearances, including four NCAA Tournaments and nine California Collegiate Athletic Association championship tournaments. He led the program to an unprecedented seven consecutive post-season appearances from 2010-16, including two CCAA Tournament titles and the 2014 NCAA West Region Championship.
PICKED TO WIN THE CCAA: Stan State women's soccer is picked to win the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) according to the 2023 CCAA Preseason Women's Soccer Poll that was released by the conference office today. The Warriors, under the direction of head coach
Gabriel Bolton, received four of the twelve first place votes.
CCAA STATS: Alexis Brewah is tied for second with four assists, tied for fourth with five goals, fourth in assists per game (.364), points per game (1.27), and points (14). She is tied for second with four assists. Goalkeeper
Natalia Ochoa is tied for fourth with 35 saves, fifth in 3.50 saves per game, and ninth with her .714 saves percentage.
MOVIN' ON UP: Alexis Brewah is tenth on the Warriors' career list with her 43 points. She is two goals away from moving into the top ten and three assists away from the top ten in each list.
UPDATE ON THE JACKS: Cal Poly Humboldt enters Thursday's match with a 9-1-1 overall record and a 3-1 CCAA record. The Jacks went 2-0 last week with a 2-0 win at SF State and a 1-0 win at Cal State Monterey Bay. Their only loss this season was a 2-0 home loss to Cal Poly Pomona and their tie was a scoreless tie at home to Western Oregon. Emilia Long and Frida Duran Arellano leads the team their six goals, four assists and 16 points. Arellano has a team leading three game-winning goals. Carson Thomson-Terrel has a 0.65 goals against average with 35 saves a .833 saves percentage and 6.5 shutouts in 11 matches in goal for Humboldt.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Stan State leads the all-time series with the Jacks 19-6-1. The two teams played to a 1-1 draw last season in Arcata as
Sunny Mancilla scored in the 64
th minute for the Warriors.
UPDATE ON THE SEAWOLVES: Entering its home match on Thursday against Chico State, Sonoma State is 2-5-3 overall and 0-3-1 in the CCAA. The Seawolves went 0-1-1 last week with a 4-1 loss at Cal State Monterey Bay and a 2-2 draw wat SF State. Annette Sotelo has scored a team leading four goals of which two are game-winning goals. Malia Falk is right behind Sotelo with one goal, two assists, and four points. Claudia Janese has a 0.99 goals against average with 21 saves, four shutouts, and a .750 saves percentage in nine matches. Lolo Retsky has a 3.09 goals against average in five matches with 11 saves and a .550 saves percentage.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Sonoma State leads the all-time series with the Warriors 22-8-5. The Seawolves won last year's meeting 4-2 in Turlock.
