TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State women's soccer team will host their final two home matches of the regular season this Friday and Sunday, October 27 and 29. The Warriors will face Cal State Monterey Bay this Friday, October 27 at 4:30 p.m. and San Francisco State this Sunday, October 29 at 11:30 a.m. Prior to the match on Sunday at approximately at 11:15 a.m., the Warriors will recognize their five seniors. With three matches left in the regular season, Stan State is just one point out for the final spot in the six-team CCAA Soccer Championships.
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TRIP: The Warriors went 1-0-1 last week in their road trip to Southern California. Stan State started the weekend with a 2-0 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday.
Marivic Lek-Miro scored the Warriors' first goal in the 27
th minute on a pass from
Aliah Avilla. The Warriors took a 2-0 lead in the 52
nd minute on a goal by Avilla off a double assist from
Kayla Perez and
Alexis Brewah.
Malia Allen posted the shutout with four saves in goal. The Warriors came back on Sunday and played a scoreless draw at Cal State Los Angeles. Allen had five saves en route to her third shutout of the season.
UPDATE ON THE WARRIORS: Stan State enters this week with a 6-5-4 overall record and a 3-2-3 CCAA record. The Warriors are in eighth place with 12 points with three matches left in the regular season.
Alexis Brewah leads the team with her six goals, six assists, 18 points, and two game-winning goals. Tied for second on the team are Haley Heffner and
Kayla Perez each with three goals, one assist, and seven points.
Marivic Lek-Miro is fourth with her two goals, two assists, and six points followed by
Aliah Avilla with one goal, three assists, and five points.
Malia Allen has a 0.58 goals against average with 41 saves, .911 saves percentage, and three shutouts in nine matches in goal for the Warriors.
Natalia Ochoa has a 1.72 goals against average with 35 saves, and a .714 saves percentage in ten matches for Stan State.
200: In the Warriors' 2-0 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills, nineteenth-year head coach
Gabriel Bolton recorded his 200
th career win on the sidelines for Stan State Warrior women's soccer. He is 200-109-41 in his career at Stan State.
Last season, the Warriors went 10-4-4 overall and 7-2-2 in the CCAA and were CCAA co-regular season champions.
Alexis Brewah was the 2022 CCAA Newcomer of the Year and
Sabrina Cabrera was the CAA Midfielder of the Year. Brewah and Cabrera each were named to the First Team All-CCAA and the All-Region Team. Four Warriors were selected to the Honorable Mention Team in
Alexia Estrada,
Summer England,
Sunny Mancilla, and
Jocelyn Lopez. In 2013, Bolton was named the NSCAA West Region Coach of the Year and the CCAA Coach of the Year. He is the Warriors Women's Soccer All-Time Winningest Coach.
Bolton has guided the Warriors to nine postseason appearances, including four NCAA Tournaments and nine California Collegiate Athletic Association championship tournaments. He led the program to an unprecedented seven consecutive post-season appearances from 2010-16, including two CCAA Tournament titles and the 2014 NCAA West Region Championship.
PLAY-OFF HUNT: Heading into the final three matches of the regular season, the Stan State Warriors are one point out of fifth place which is currently held by Cal Poly Humboldt, Chico State, and Cal State East Bay. Stan State is two points out of third place which is held by Cal State Los Angeles and Cal State San Bernardino. Cal Poly Pomona is in first place with 19 points followed by Cal State San Marcos in second place with 18 points. The top six teams at the end of the regular season on November 2 will receive a berth to the CCAA Soccer Championships.
SENIOR DAY: This Sunday is Senior Day at Warrior Stadium, prior to the match at approximately 11:15 a.m. the Warriors will recognize their five seniors in

Natalia Ochoa are in the top ten in the CCAA in ten statistical categories. Brewah is tied for the CCAA lead in assists/game (.400), assists (six), and points (18). She is tied for second in points/game (1.20), tied for third in goals (six), and fifth in goals/game (.400). Allen is first in saves/game (7.20) and saves percentage (.923). She is fifth in goals against average (.58), eighth in saves (36), and tied for ninth in shutouts (three). Ochoa is sixth in saves per game (3.50), ninth in saves percentage (.714), and tenth in saves (35).

UPDATE ON THE OTTERS: Cal State Monterey Bay is 3-7-4 overall and 2-5-1 in the CCAA after going 1-1 last weekend at home (2-1 loss to Cal State San Bernardino and 1-0 victory over Cal Poly Pomona). Amelia McManus leads the team with her six goals, one assist, and 13 points. Tiger Rendon has a team high four assists. Aubrey McKessy has posted a 0.98 goals against average with 41 saves, two shutouts, and a .788 saves percentage in 12 matches in goal for the Otters.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Stan State leads the all-time series with the Otters 27-5-2 with the Warriors going 3-1-1 against CSUMB in their last five meetings. The Warriors won last year 1-0 in Seaside with
Sabrina Cabrera scoring the game-winner in the 12
th minute.
UPDATE ON THE GATORS: Heading into their match at Chico State on Friday, SF State is 3-10-2 overall and 2-5-1 in the CCAA. The Gators went 0-2 last week at home with back-to-back 2-1 losses to Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State San Bernardino. Alexa Avelar, Carlssa Capinpin, and Lauren Johnston lead the Gators with their two goals and four points. Samantha Shim has scored one goal and assisted on two goals for SF State. Kylie Tone has posted a 1.76 goals against average in seven matches in goal with 37 saves, .755 saves percentage, and one shutout. Cameryn Nunn has a 2.00 goals against average in six matches.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Stan State leads the 20-5-6, but the series is at 2-2-1 in the last five meetings. The Warriors won 2-0 in Turlock last year as
