TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State will finish off its 2022-23 regular season this weekend with a pair of games in Southern California. The Warriors will be in Pomona, Calif., for a 7:30pm scheduled tip-off with Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday, February 23. They will wrap up the regular season in San Bernardino, Calif., for a 3pm scheduled game with No. 12 Cal State San Bernardino.
WARRIORS IN REVIEW: Stan State is 9-17 overall and 7-13 in the CCAA heading into its game on Thursday at Cal Poly Pomona. The Warriors are averaging 67.7 points per game while giving up 73.04 points per game. They are being outrebounded 35.1 to 32.6.
Marlon Short leads the way with his 15.7 scoring average, 47.4% shooting from the field and 15 blocked shots.
Kobe Ordonio is second on the team with his 14.4 scoring average and leads the team with his 46 three-point field goals made and 80.8% shooting from the line.
Benno Zecic has dished out a team high 166 assists and recorded a team leading 60 steals.

LAST GAMES: Stan State went 0-2 in its final home stand of the regular season. The Warriors lost 82-66 on Thursday to Cal State Monterey Bay despite
Marlon Short's 24 points and nine rebounds.
Jeremiah Jones had a career high 15 points off the bench in 24 minutes.
Kobe Ordonio chipped in 11 points for the Warriors. Stan State 80-64 to SF State on Saturday despite three players soring in double figures in Short (18 points), Ordonio (15 points) and
Benno Zecic (11 points). Zecic had eight rebounds, five assists and three steals to go with his 11 points. Short added three steals for the Warriors.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE TRIO: The trio of
Marlon Short,
Benno Zecic and
Travion Williams each have recorded double-doubles this season. Short has four in Academy of Art (Nov. 22, 21 points, 10 rebounds), at Chico State (Nov. 26, 16 points, 10 rebounds), at Cal Poly Humboldt (Dec. 10, 18 points, 10 rebounds) and versus Cal State East Bay (Jan. 5, 19 points, 10 rebounds), Zecic has two against Cal State San Marcos (December 10 points, 10 assists) and against then No. 12 Cal State San Bernardino (Jan. 12, 10 points, 11 assists). Williams' double-double came at Cal State Monterey Bay (Jan. 21, 11 points, 12 rebounds) and at Cal State Dominguez hills (Jan. 26, 11 points, 10 rebounds). For their careers, Short has seven double doubles while Zecic and Williams each have two.
16 TH STRAIGHT GAME: With his 24 points against CSUMB and 15 points against SF State, Short recorded his 15
th and 16
th straight games of scoring in double digits this season. The Warrior sophomore has scored in double figures in all but two games this season. He is averaging a team leading 15.7 points per game to go with his team high 15 blocked shots and 47.4% shooting from the field.
MOVIN' ON UP: Benno Zecic is moving up on the career lists in assists and steals at Stan State. He is second on the single season assists list with 167 and 17 from breaking Richard Seay's record of 183. Zecic is fourth on the single season steals list with 60 steals and nine from moving into third place. For his career, Zecic has dished out 309 assists and recorded 118 steals to go with his 427 points and 268 rebounds. He is eleven assists from moving into third place, sixty-nine from moving into second and seventy-two from breaking Ty Davis' school career record of 380.
APPROACHING 600/300: Marlon Short is approaching the 600-point, 300-rebound plateau marks in his career at Stan State. Short has scored 615 points and grabbed 297 rebounds in his two-year career as a Warrior.
NATION'S LEADERS: Benno Zecic is still in the top ten in the nation in NCAA Division II in assists and steals. Zecic is seventh in the nation with his 167 assists and tied for eighth with his 60 steals. The red-shirt junior is ninth with his 6.4 assists per game average and 2.3 steals per game average.
Travion Williams is 11

TOP HALF IN THE CCAA: Heading into Thursday's game at Cal Poly Pomona, the Warriors are in the top half of the conference in five statistical categories.
