The men's squad continued their dominant run on familiar ground during the two-day competition.

Stan State Places 18 in the Top-10 at Kim Duyst Invitational

TURLOCK, Calif. – Stan State competed in their first stretch of home meets this outdoor season at the Kim Duyst Invitational. The team hit on all cylinders with their performances both on the track and in the throwing circle through two days of competition. The men's squad handled business on their own turf, putting 18 top-10 finishes together over two days' worth of performances.
 
Field events on day one were headlined by Luke McMahon and Lamont Lane in the Men's Hammer Throw. McMahon chucked a new personal best 51.50m to place 4th overall, while Lane earned a PR of his own with a 6th place throw of 49.00m. Jason Lindsay had the Warrior throwers' best performance of the day in Men's Discus with a 34.91m toss on his very first attempt of the day.
 
On day two, Andy Huynh placed 3rd in the Men's Pole Vault with a leap of 4.40m after nailing his final attempt at the height before hitting his ceiling at 4.55m for the day. 
 
Trent Lauderdale and Luis Mincey each competed in the Men's 400m Hurdles, with Lauderdale earning a second consecutive personal best time of 53.34 to finish in 2nd place. Mincey took 8th with a time of 57.74. 
 
The distance squad competed in two sections of the Men's 5000m, placing nine athletes in the top-10. In Section A, Andrew Vazquez took 1st place with a 14:33.67 personal best, followed by Cristian Alcantar in 3rd with a 14:38.86 PR, Jose Garcia in 4th (14:50.32), and Medhane Woldu in 7th (14:59.13). In Section B, every Warrior earned a new personal best time, starting with Cooper Freeman's 1st place time of 14:33.67, Adin Dibble's 2nd place time of 15:14.95, Austin Hoach's 3rd place time of 15:20.66, Mario Gutierrez's 5th place time of 15:22.73, and Carson Sanchez's 7th place time of 15:27.07. Alcantar also took 2nd in the 1500m with a time of 3:59.90, a new personal record.
 
The Men's 4x400m relay team capped off the night, placing 6th overall with a time of 3:25.34. The relay squad was made up of Andrew Vazquez, Levi, Gardner, Damaris Burt, and Trent Lauderdale.
