Stan State Pulls Personal Bests Out of Two-Meet Weekend

FRESNO/SAN FRANCISCO – The Warriors hit the road to Fresno State's West Coast Relays and San Francisco State's Mike Fanelli Track Classic to improve upon their personal best marks through the weekend. Earning seven PR's and one national qualifying time, the men's squad hit on all cylinders as they took on the competition through the second and final meet before heading to back home for the Stan State Multi/Invite.

On the track at SF State, the Warriors top finisher in the Men's 5000m was Senior Cristian Alcantar, running a time of 14:39.30. Freshman Adin Dibble would run a new personal best in the event, clocking a 14:57.24 time about 15 seconds faster than his Kim Duyst Invitational time. Andrew Vazquez was the Warriors' top performer in the 1500m at 4:01.00, which places him 16th in the current CCAA standings.

At Fresno State, Trent Lauderdale got off to a hot start with a personal best 52.56 in the Men's 400m Hurdles. The time puts him at #11 on the NCAA Division II Outdoor qualifying list and 4th in the conference. Damaris Burt would sprint to a PR of his own in the Men's 100m at 11.16, while Levi Gardner set a new personal best in the open 400m at 51.77. Senior pole vaulter Andy Huynh propelled himself to a new 4.60m personal best to place 8th overall in the meet. Freshman thrower Lamont Lane took to the circle in Men's Discus to spin a 35.66m toss to a 12th place finish overall.

UP NEXT: The Warriors will gear up for the Stan State Multi this Thursday, Apr. 6th, followed by the Stan State Invite on Friday, Apr. 7th here at the Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium.
