Warriors Welcome More School Records on Final Day of Bryan Clay Invitational

4/16/2023 10:25:00 AM

AZUSA, Calif. – The Warriors distance squad made big waves in the Men's 1500m through the last day of competition at APU. The team's long week on the track was spearheaded by personal bests on the distance side and a school record for Trent Lauderdale in the Men's 400m Hurdles.

Three Stan State distance runners lowered their PR's in the 1500m, as Carson Sanchez, Mario Gutierrez, and Adin Dibble improved their times in a loaded field of athletes. Sanchez ran a 3:55.73, followed by Dibble's 3:58.05, and Gutierrez's 3:59.08. This PR marked Dibble 2nd personal best this weekend after his performance in the Men's 5000m.

Trent Lauderdale broke his own personal record in the Men's 400m Hurdles, running a 52.32 where he now sits at 14th in the nation.

UP NEXT: The Warriors will use this coming week to recover before heading to the Fresno State Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 28th-29th.
