CHICO, Calif. – Stan State took to Chico State in a quick trip for the Warriors' sprinters, vaulters, and throwers. Two individual PR's got the team going through two days of competition.
The Warriors 4x100m relay got the team started on Saturday, and the group of
Jose Bravo,
Damaris Burt,
Andy Huynh, and
Trent Lauderdale got the 3
rd place finish with a time of 44.26. This was the relay team's first competition of the season. In solo events,
Trent Lauderdale won the Men's 400m Hurdles with a 52.66 finish.
Damaris Burt also ran a wind-aided personal best 11.11 in the Men's 100m Dash to place 9
th overall.
Andy Huynh placed 5
th in the Men's Pole Vault, clearing a height of 4.38m capping out on three attempts at 4.68m.
Jason Lindsay took the win in Men's Hammer, tossing 52.75m into 1
st place. He would follow up in Men's Discus, placing 7
th overall with a throw of 36.21m.
Lamont Lane would earn a PR in the discus, going 35.93m for 8
th place overall. Lane would also try his hand in the Men's Shot Put for the first time this season, placing 9
th with a 10.65m throw. In hammer, he would finish 6
th with a mark of 45.37m.
Luke McMahon took the 3
rd place spot in Men's Hammer with a 50.60m throw. He would also hurl a 27.85m best for the day in Men's Discus.
