TURLOCK, Calif. – Day 2 of the Warriors' Stanislaus State Invitational included four event wins for the team to conclude the home weekend. The home team would collect a plethora of PR's before they head back on the road for the final few meets of the regular season.
Christian Alcantar took 1
st place in the Men's 1500m, running a personal best 3:52.25 to lead the pack. Returning to the track in the Men's 800m, he would run yet another personal record of 1:58.13 to finish 5
th overall. His running mate
Andrew Vazquez would win the 800m with a 1:53.72. The rest of the Warriors distance squad would also clock PR's in the 1500m, including
Jose Garcia (3:53.23),
Brody Vecchione (4:03.42), Carson Sanchetz (4:03.98),
Mario Gutierrez (4:05.66), and
Adin Dibble (4:07.23). Alcantar (1:58.13), Garcia (1:59.14), and Sanchetz (2:00.52) would continue their success with personal bests in the Men's 800m as well.
Trent Lauderdale took a break from the 400m Hurdles and competed in the open 400m Dash to earn a new personal best time of 48.61 for the event win.
Andy Huynh also got a 1
st place finish in the Men's Pole Vault, clearing 4.55m to take the victory. His teammate
Jose Bravo would vault 3.65m to take 5
th place for the day.
