TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State will return to the hardwood this week for pair of games. The Warriors are coming off a 2-0 weekend in which they defeated Western Oregon 94-88 and Hawai'i Pacific 75-67. They will begin the week this Wednesday, November 20 in Moraga, Calif., for a 7:00 p.m. exhibition game with Saint Mary's College. Stan State will finish its week with the Warriors' Home Opener this Saturday, November 23 at 3:00 p.m. against UC Merced at The Fitzpatrick Arena.
2-0: The Warriors went 2-0 in the Ron Logsdon Basketball Challenge this past weekend in Rohnert Park, Calif. Stan State started with a 94-88 victory over Western Oregon with
Jeremiah Jones leading the way with a career high 33 points.
Cameron Walker chipped in 21 points while
Jonathan Tchengang added 10 points. The Warriors finished with a 75-67 victory over Hawai'i Pacific behind Jones' 17 points.
Daniel Ameyaw added 12 points and 7 rebounds while Walker chipped in 11 points.
Lloyd French scored 10 points off the bench for the victors.
In the two games, Stan State averaged 84.5 points per game while gave up 77.5 points per game. The Warriors shot 49% from the field while holding its opponents to just 43.8% shooting. They forced 32 turnovers including 17 by steals. Stan State had a two-to-one assist to turnover ratio with 25 assists and 12 turnovers in the two games.
WARRIORS: Heading into their home opener this Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. versus UC Merced, the Warriors are 3-1. They are averaging 76.0 points per game while giving up 71.3 points per game. Stan State is shooting 46.2% from the field while forcing 15 turnovers per game and recording 7.8 steals per game.
Jeremiah Jones leads the way with his 19.8 scoring average followed by
Cameron Walker's 10.0 points per game average. Three Warriors are shooting over 50% from the field in
Jason Zimmer (.667),
Jeremiah Jones (.630), and Wiliam Chavarin (.545). Zimmer leads Stan State with his 61.5% shooting from beyond the arc. Jones has a team high ten assists while
Jason Cibull has nine assists and no turnovers. Four Warriors are shooting 80% or higher from the line in Cibull (100%),
Fabian Reichstadt (100%),
Mahda Fallay (83%) and Walker (80%).
Daniel Ameyaw is averaging a team leading 7.8 rebounds per game with Reichstadt blocking a team high three shots.

WHAT A WEEKEND: Jeremiah Jones started his weekend scoring a career high 33 points on 13-for-15 shooting from the field including going two-for-four from beyond the arc in the Warriors' 94-88 victory over Western Oregon at the Ron Logsdon Challenge. He also added four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. The senior guard finished with 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the field while connecting on both of his attempts from three-point land. He added five rebounds, three assists and two steals. For the weekend, he shot 74% from the field including 66.7% from threes with six assists, four steals, nine rebounds and just one turnover while averaging 29.6 minutes per game.
TWO-TO-ONE: Stan State had over a two-to-one assist to turnover ratio as a team in its two wins this past weekend with 25 assists and 12 turnovers.
Jason Cibull had seven assists and no turnovers with
Jonathan Tchengang dishing out three assists and no turnovers and
Fabian Reichstadt with one assist and no turnovers. With only turnover this weekend were
Jeremiah Jones (six assists, one turnover),
Cameron Walker (two assists, one turnover), and
William Chavarin (two assists, one turnover).
OVER 50%: The Warriors had six players shoot 50% or better in their two wins over Western Oregon and Hawai'i Pacific.
Jeremiah Jones connected on 74% of his attempts from the field (20-for-27) while
Lloyd French was four-for-seven (57%). Shooting 56% was
Cameron Walker (14-for-25) while
Jason Zimmer was five-for-nine (55.6%).
William Chavarin was two-for-three (66.7%), and
Fabian Reichstadt was three-for-five (60%) in their attempts.
15: Stan State is forcing 15.0 turnovers per game in its first four games this season while recording 7.8 steals per game.

Paul Trevor has recorded 75 victories during his time on the sidelines at Stan State. Those 75 victories tie him for fourth most in Warrior men's basketball history with Jim Hanny. For his 14-year career at Stan State and San Francisco State is 182-177.
SAINT MARY'S: The Gaels, who went to the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament last season, are 4-0 after a 77-74 victory over Nebraska this past Sunday, November 17. They are averaging 81.5 points per game while giving up 71.3 points per game. Saint Mary's is outrebounding its opponents 40.8 to 28.8. The Gaels has a +1.7 assist to turnover ratio. Paulius Murauskas leads the way with his 17.5 scoring and 11.3 rebounding average. Also averaging double digits in scoring for the Gaels are Mikey Lewis (16.3 ppg), Augustas Marciulionis (16.3 ppg), ad Luke Barrett (12.0 ppg). Marciulionis has 30 assists with just five turnovers in four games for the Gaels. Michael Saxen is shooting a team high 56% from the field and Lewis is shooting a team best 52.2% from three-point land. Lewis and Saxen each lead Saint Mary's with six steals.
EXHIBITION: Stan State's game with Saint Mary's is an exhibition game for the Warriors. The game will be a regular season game for the Warriors.
UC MERCED: Heading into its home game this Wednesday, November 20 against NAIA No. 7 Montana Tech, UC Merced is 2-3. The Bobcats are transitioning into NCAA Division II and joining the CCAA in 2025-26. They are averaging 66.5 points per game while giving up 66.0 points per game. UC Merced is outrebounding its opponents 40.8 to 32.8. Jeron Mertle leads the way with his 10.8 scoring averaging, 7.8 rebounding average and 71.4% shooting from three-point land. Blake Hudson leads the Bobcats with his 11 assists followed by Cameron Brown with ten. Tiler Fiers has recorded a team leading seven steals. Elijah Charles leads the team with his 73% shooting from the field.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Stan State leads the all-time series with the Bobcats 2-0 since 2012. The Warriors defeated UC Merced 105-57 in Turlock on Nov. 14, 2012, behind Zeke DeBiase's 21 points in 20 minutes off the bench. Stan State defeated the Bobcats 90-64 in Merced on Nov. 26, 20213 behind Alexander Griffin's 23 points off the bench in 17 minutes.
