TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State will return to the softball diamond for six games this week including four conference road games this weekend. They will end their six-game home stand with a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday, Feb. 20 starting at noon. This Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, Feb. 24, the Warriors will be in Carson, Calif., for a four-game series with Cal State Dominguez Hills.
LAST WEEK: The Warriors began CCAA play last weekend with a four-game series against No. 5 Cal State San Marcos. They went 1-3 against the Cougars with a 6-5 walk-off game three victory over their visitors.

Mikaela Ferreira led the Warrior hitting attack with their respective .364 and .308 batting averages.
Karli DalBianco drove home four of the Warriors' 17 runs.
Payton Applequist hit the Warriors' home run. Martello had two doubles and picked up the Stan State victory.

SIMON FRASER: The Red Leafs enter their doubleheader with the Warriors with a 3-6 record. This past weekend in the Bay Area, they split a doubleheader at Academy of Art winning the first game 4-2 before losing the night cap 1-0. Simon Fraser lost to Dominican on Sunday 7-4. As a team, the Red Leafs have a .342 batting average with a 5.04 earned run average. Four players are hitting over .350 in Cassidy Affeldt (.464), Megan Duclos (.412), Grace McMillan (.364), and Kristen Davyduke (.357). Affeldt leads the team with her three home runs, seven runs batted in, .920 slugging and .552 on-base percentages. Duclos has stolen a team leading seven bases. Julia Hansen has recorded two of the Red Leafs' three victories. Monica Bourque leads the team with her 13 strikeouts. This will be the first time that the two teams have faced each other.
CAL STATE DOMINGUEZ HILLS: The Toros enter this week with a 7-3 record including a 4-0 CCAA record. They swept Chico State 13-1, 6-3, 4-1, and 2-1 over the weekend to begin CCAA play. CSUDH is batting .327 as a team with Jay Ross leading the way with her .444 batting average, 12 hits, and .500 on-base percentage. Mariah Ramirez has driven in a team leading ten runs and hit a team high four home runs. Lilliana Garcia has a 3-1 record. Leading the Toros with her 27 strikeouts is Ramirez. The Toros lead the all-time series 32-31 since 2008. They have won seven of the last eight games between the two teams including sweeping the doubleheader last season (5-4, 4-1, 7-1, and 4-2) in Turlock. The last Warrior victory was a 3-1 contest in Carson on Feb. 25, 2022.
