Warrior Duo of Mikaela Ferreira and Sasha Martello Named to 21st Annual TOC All-Tournament Team

TURLOCK, Calif.---  As announced at the conclusion of the 21st Annual Tournament of Champions, presented by the City of Turlock, Stan State softball duo of Mikaela Ferreira and Sasha Martello were named to the TOC All-Tournament Team.  The duo played a key role in the Warriors' 3-1 weekend in tournament that was played at Warrior Field and the Pedretti Sports Complex. 
 
Ferreira hit .800 with a 1.00 slugging and .813 on-base percentage.  She was 12-for-15 with two runs batted in while scoring five runs. Of her twelve hits, three were for doubles as she had 15 total bases during the weekend.
 
Martello went 2-0 and had a save in her four appearances during the weekend.  She struck out one while walking no one in 13.2 innings of work.  The junior pitcher gave up 12 hits and six runs of which for were earned. 
 
Stan State will continue its 12-game home stand this weekend, March 29-30, for a four-game series with San Francisco State.  The series will begin with a 1:00 p.m. starting doubleheader this Friday.  The two teams will conclude the series with a noon starting doubleheader on Saturday.
