TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State will host Sonoma State in its final four games of the regular season this Friday-Saturday, April 19-20 at Warrior Field. Game times for the two doubleheaders are Friday: 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Saturday's doubleheader will be Senior Day as the Warriors will recognize their two seniors in
Faith Erb and
Mikaela Ferreira. After Saturday's games, Stan State will travel to San Bernardino for a 11:00 a.m. starting single seven-game to face Cal State San Bernardino this Sunday, April 21.
ANOTHER SPLIT: For the third straight series, the Warriors split a four-game series with their opponent. This time the Warriors took the first two games in Seaside from CSU Monterey Bay 9-1 (5) and 4-3 on Friday. They lost the final two to the Otters 9-0 (5) and 8-7 (9). Stan State hit .287 as a team with five Warriors hitting over .300 in Sasha Martell (.517),
Mikaela Ferreira (.417),
Sarah Warden (.385),
Payton Applequist (.375), and
Karli DalBianco (.308). DalBianco drove in five runs while Ferreira and Warden each scored five runs.
Victoria Alarcon and
Sasha Martello each picked up victories in the circle for the Warriors.
STILL ALIVE: Stan State is just percentage points out of the sixth and final spot for the CCAA Softball Championships, May 1-4, at Cal State San Marcos. The top six teams at the end of the regular season on April 28 will receive a berth to the CCAA Softball Championships. There are just eight games left in the regular season. Stan State will host Sonoma State this weekend. The Warriors will have five road games at Cal State San Bernardino (one) and Cal State East Bay (four).

STAN STATE PITCHERS: Sasha Martello leads the Warriors with her 10-5 record, team low 3.01 earned run average, 90.2 innings pitched, two saves, 27 appearances, and 19 to one strikeout to walk ratio.
Shelby Frutoz has struck out a team high 37 batters with a 3-9 record and a team leading five complete games including two of them shutouts.

SEAWOLVES: Sonoma State is 23-15 overall and 16-10 in the CCAA. The Seawolves are hitting .272 as a team and have a 2.86 earned run average. Three players are hitting over .300 in Anna Zoia-Buescher (.358), Gianna Hays (.358), and Jasmine Moreno (.318). Hays has posted a team leading .624 slugging percentage to go with her team highs in home runs (five), triples (five), and total bases (68). Zoia-Buescher has a team leading .437 on-base percentage to go with her team leading 29 stolen bases. She is tied with Hays for a team leading 29 runs scored. Bailee Reed has a 12-5 record with a team low 2.16 earned run average and team high 67 strikeouts.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Sonoma State leads the all-time series with the Warriors 45-17 including winning nine of the last ten meetings. The last Warrior victory was an 8-0 (six inning) victory on April 8, 2022, in Turlock.
