TURLOCK, Calif.---  With just four games left in the regular season, San State is just percentage points out of the sixth and final spot for the CCAA Softball Championships which will be held May 1-4 at Cal State San Marcos.  The Warriors will end their regular season looking to secure a CCAA Softball Championship Tournament berth with a four-game series at Cal State East Bay (April 26-27).

THIS PAST WEEKEND:  The Warriors went 1-4 in their five games this weekend.  They were swept by Sonoma State at home and then defeated Cal State San Bernardino in San Bernardino on Sunday.  Stan State hit .253 as a team and had a 5.49 earned run average.  Four Warriors hit over .300 in Sasha Martello (.368), Lauryn Serda (.353), and Shelby Frutoz (.333).  Martello had seven and Serda had six hits.  Mikaela Ferreira scored five of the Warriors' 17 runs. Victoria Alarcon went 1-2 with a 3.29 earned run average in the circle with 13 strikeouts and only five walks. 

STILL ALIVE:  Stan State is just percentage points out of the sixth and final spot for the CCAA Softball Championships, May 1-4, at Cal State San Marcos.  The top six teams at the end of the regular season on April 28 will receive a berth to the CCAA Softball Championships.  There are just four games left in the regular season this weekend, April 26-27.

UPDATE ON THE WARRIORS: Stan State is 17-26 overall and 13-19 in the CCAA.  The Warriors are hitting .269 as a team and has a 3.95 earned run average. 

WARRIOR HITTERS: Three players are hitting over .300 in Mikaela Ferreira (.450), Lauryn Serda (.313), and Sasha Martello (.310).  Ferreira leads the team with her 54 hits, 26 runs scored, 13 doubles, three home runs, 26
runs batted in, 76 total bases, .633 slugging percentage, and .553 on-base percentage. Jessica Gutierrez has a team leading three triples and Katie Thornsberry is a perfect six-for-six in stolen bases. 

STAN STATE PITCHERS:  Sasha Martello is 10-6 with a team low 3.14 earned run average.  She has a 19 strikeout to one walk ratio.  Victoria Alarcon leads the team with her 48 strikeouts.  Alarcon has four victories while Shelby Frutoz has three wins in the circle.    

24/11/9:  Mikaela Ferreira has a 24-game reach base safely streak while Sasha Martello has an 11-game streak.  Martello has a nine-game hitting streak while Ferreira had her ten-game hitting streak snapped this weekend against Sonoma State.  Ferreira has 11 multiple-hit games followed by Lauryn Serda with eight and Sasha Martello with seven.  Ferreira has seven multiple-RBI games.

AMONGST THE NATIONAL LEADERS:   Sasha Martello leads the nation with her 19 to one strikeout to walk ratio.  She also leads the nation with her 0.07 walks per seven innings average.  Mikaela Ferreira is 13^th in the nation with her .553 on-base percentage.   

CCAA:  Mikaela Ferreira leads the CCAA with her batting average, on-base percentage, OPS, and doubles.  She is tied for first in walks while she is fourth in hits, fifth in slugging percentage, tied for seventh in runs, and tied for ninth in runs batted in.  Jessica Gutierrez is tied for second in triples.  Sasha Martello is tied for sixth in saves and tied for eighth in victories. 

PIONEERS: Cal State East Bay is 23-18 overall and 15-15 in the CCAA.  The Pioneers are hitting .265 as a team with a 1.99 earned run average.  Two players are hitting over .300 in Annelise Garcia (.400) and Cynthia Carrillo (.309).  Garcia leads the team with her 32 runs scored, 52 hits, ten doubles, nine home runs, 95 total bases, .731 slugging percentage, .455 on-base percentage, nine stolen bases, and three triples.  She is tied with Adrianna Martinez each with 23 runs batted in this season.  Marissa Quintero is 14-8 with a 1.58 earned run average and 95 strikeouts.  Ashlee Toy is 9-9 in the circle. 

ALL-TIME SERIES:  Stan State leads the all-time series with Cal State East Bay 34-30 since 2008.  The Warriors have lost three of the four games last season in Turlock to East Bay.  Stan State's victory was a 7-4 win with Sarah Warden going three-for-four with a triple, a run batted in, and two runs scored.  Victoria Alarcon picked up the win.
