AZUSA, Calif.--- Stan State's
Caitlyn Bell,
Kaela Dishion,
Nate Olsen, and
Annie Wild each recorded NCAA Division II provisional times/marks respectively in the hammer, 10,000-meter run, 3,000-meter steeplechase, 1500-meter run events this weekend at the Franson Last Chance Meet. Olsen broke the school record in the steeplechase while Dishion and Wild each moved up in the respective top ten lists.
Olsen ran a school record time of 9:08.78 in the 3,000-steeplechase this evening to place eighth. The Warrior freshman provisionally qualified for the nationals and is 40
th in the nation in NCAA Division II.
Dishion finished second in the 10,000-meter on Friday night with her time of 34:32.33. She is now eleventh in the nation and second in Stan State's Top Ten List in the 10,000-meter run.
Wild finished fifth in the 1500-meter run this evening with her time of 4:27.32, which places her fifth on the Warrior top ten list. The Warrior freshman is 32
nd in the nation.Â
Caitlyn Bell improved her personal mark in the hammer with a second-place and provisional throw of 176-6 (53.86m) Friday morning. Bell is now seventh on Stan State top ten list and 31
st in the nation.
Stan State recorded three other top ten places at the Franson Last Chance Meet in
Najwa Chouati (sixth, 5K, 16:53.63),
Lamont Lane (seventh, hammer, 169-8), and
Jason Lindsay (second, hammer, 181-3).
NCAA DIVISION II CHAMPIONSHIPS:Â The official field for the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be announced this Tuesday, May 14 on
www.ncaa.com. This year's championships will take place, May 23-25, on the campus of Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas.
