TURLOCK, Calif. — Stan State men's basketball begins a four-game homestand this week as the Warriors host Cal State San Bernardino on Friday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m. inside Fitzpatrick Arena before welcoming Cal Poly Pomona on Sunday, December 21 at 3 p.m. Stan State returns home at 5–3 overall and 1–1 in CCAA play following a 57–54 road victory at Chico State.
Warriors Return Home After Strong Road Win
Stan State earned its first CCAA victory of the season on Saturday, Dec. 6 defeating Chico State 57–54 at Acker Gym behind a standout performance from Malachi Johnson, who scored 16 points including the go-ahead three-pointer with 20 seconds remaining. The Warriors shot 71.4 percent in the first half to build a 39–24 halftime lead before relying on their defense late, holding Chico State to 29 percent shooting for the game. Mark Jones III added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, while Jason Zimmer and Jason Cibull contributed key second-half threes. Stan State controlled the paint with a 26–12 edge and held a 21–14 advantage in bench scoring.
Balanced Production Through Eight Games
Stanislaus State is averaging 72.5 points per game while shooting 45.6 percent from the field and 35.1 percent from three-point range. Lindsey leads the team at 11.9 points per game on 56.4 percent shooting. Ameyaw continues to anchor the interior at 10.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 52.2 percent shooting, while Johnson adds 9.5 points and 6.4 rebounds. Zimmer provides important perimeter scoring at 46.9 percent from three, and the Warriors' depth remains a strength with 10 players averaging 2.0 points or more.

Malcolm Bell leads the team with 15.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, while Demarreya Lewis-Cooper adds 15.4 points per game and is shooting 45 percent from beyond the arc.
