TURLOCK, Calif. — Stanislaus State volleyball standouts Valerie Plumb and
Emily Meyer have been named to the 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Team, as announced this week by College Sports Communicators.
The award recognizes top student-athletes across the nation for excellence in both academics and athletics and is presented to individuals who maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA while making significant on-court contributions.
The Warriors capped the 2025 campaign with a 13–13 overall record and an impressive 11–7 mark in CCAA play, highlighted by a midseason surge in which Stan State won eight of nine matches to climb into the conference's upper tier. The Warriors also advanced to the CCAA postseason tournament for the second straight year and the third time in the last four years.
Plumb, one of Stan State's most reliable defensive specialists, appeared in 94 sets this season and provided consistent stability in the back row. She totaled 57 digs, a team-leading 29 service aces, and posted a .913 serve-receive percentage. Her strong academic performance and consistent court presence earned her a well-deserved place among this year's district selections.
Meyer delivered a standout two-way season, finishing with 141 kills, 99 digs, and 31 blocks across 78 sets. One of the Warriors' most productive attackers, she balanced her on-court success with exceptional work in the classroom, making her an obvious choice for Academic All-District® recognition.
As Academic All-District® honorees, both Plumb and Meyer advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America® consideration. This year's Academic All-America® Team will be announced on January 13.
