TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State women's indoor track and field team, under the direction of head coach
Troy Johnson, will open its 2025-26 indoor season this Friday–Saturday, December 5-6, at the Silver State Invitational at the Reno–Tahoe Indoor Track in Reno, Nevada. The Warriors will be sending ten student-athletes to compete in twelve events, with competition beginning at 10:00 a.m. both mornings.
Friday's Events
On Friday, the Warriors will open the meet at 10:00 a.m. with two field events. In the weight throw, Stan State will send
Alexis Nino,
Sienna Hawkins, Grace Lagenfield,
Donielle Willis, and Abigal Woodfill. At the same time,
Reyna Dismukes and
Richiya Washington will compete in the long jump. At 12:50 p.m.,
Mila Real will run in the 400-meter dash for her first race of the indoor season. The Warriors will close out Friday with the 200-meter dash at 3:40 p.m., where
Ahlia Albergottie,
Reyna Dismukes,
Mila Real,
Eliana Tamayo, and
Richiya Washington are scheduled to compete.
Saturday's Events
Saturday's events for Stan State will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the shot put, where
Alexis Nino and
Donielle Willis will compete. Also, at 10:00 a.m.,
Ahlia Albergottie will compete in the 60-meter hurdles. The Warriors will then compete in the 60-meter dash at 10:45 a.m. with
Reyna Dismukes,
Eliana Tamayo, and
Richiya Washington. At 11:35 a.m.,
Mila Real will run the 400-meter dash for the second straight day to wrap up the weekend before the Warriors depart for Turlock.
Last Year
Last year, Stan State made program history when
Annie Wild became the program's first-ever NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field national champion, winning the mile in 4:40.62 in Indianapolis. Her title also made her the 24th All-American in Stan State indoor history. Wild entered the meet as the top seed after running a school-record 4:39.92 at the Last Chance Qualifier in Boston. Her victory scored ten points for the Warriors, who finished tied for 19th in the team standings and carried strong momentum into the outdoor season.
Current Warriors in the Indoor Record Books
Stan State returns several athletes who already appear in the program's indoor record books.
Alexis Nino ranks third all-time in the shot put with a mark of 44-2 3/4.
Mila Real enters the season ranked second in the 400-meter dash at 56.98.
Annie Wild holds two top-three marks, sitting first all-time in the mile at 4:39.92 and third in the 800 meters at 2:10.34.
Jacqueline Sanchez-Silva is ninth in the mile at 5:03.70 and fifth in the 5,000 meters at 16:46.10, while
Crystal Hernandez is ninth in the 3,000 meters at 9:49.73. The distance medley relay team of Sanchez-Silva, Real, Hernandez, and Wild ranks second in school history with a time of 11:40.49.
Teams Competing
Among the teams scheduled to compete at this year's Silver State Invitational are Western Oregon, Nevada, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, and UNLV.

Following the Silver State Invitational, Stan State will return to competition January 17-18 in Seattle, Wash., at the UW Preview on January 17 and the Mile City Preview on January 18 at the Dempsey Indoor Complex on the campus of the University of Washington.
Rest of the Indoor Season
The Warriors will compete in three more indoor meets as they pursue qualifying marks for the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. This year's Indoor Nationals are set for March 13-14 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va. Stan State will return to Reno on January 24 for the Nevada Invitational, followed by the Wolf Pack Classic on February 7-8. The Warriors will close their regular indoor season at the Husky Classic, February 14-15 in Seattle.
