TURLOCK, Calif.--- After splitting their two games this weekend to end their four-game home stand, Stan State Warriors will be on the road this week for a pair of games in Northern California. The Warriors will be in Chico this Thursday, February 6 for a 5:30 p.m. scheduled tip-off with Chico State. They will finish the road trip this Saturday, February 8 in Arcata for a 3:00 p.m. scheduled game with Cal Poly Humboldt.
LAST WEEK: The Warriors split their final two games of their four-game home stand. They came back from 20-point fourth quarter deficit to defeat Cal State East Bay 58-57.
Alyssa Premo hit the game-winning lay-up in the final seconds to secure the victory. Premo scored 14 points while
Amya Vangkham-Griffin added a season high 11 points. They finished the weekend with an 82-71 loss to San Francisco State despite
Da'Myiah Lewis' 23-points, 10-rebounds performance. Premo chipped in 13 points.
Jadyn Patterson had 12 points and Griffin Vangkham-Griffin added 11 points each off the bench.
WARRIORS IN REVIEW: Stan State enters this week with a 5-15 overall record and a 4-10 CCAA record. The Warriors are in a tie for ninth place with Cal Poly Humboldt. They are averaging 57.8 points per game while giving up 70.7 points per game. Stan State's opponents are outrebounding the Warriors 43.3 to 37.7. Talia Maxwell (16.7 ppg),
Da'Myiah Lewis (15.5 ppg), and
Daja Scott-Mitchell (11.5 ppg). Lewis leads the team with her 20 treys made, 72.1% shooting from the line and 31 steals. She is tied with Scott-Mitchell each with an 8.5 rebounding average. Scott-Mitchell leads the team with her 45% shooting from the field while Maxwell has blocked a team high 23 shots.
Quinn Garrett has dished out a team leading 37 assists.
ONLY FOUR MORE: Including this weekend, Stan State has just four road games left in the season to go with its four home games. The Warriors are 3-6 at home and 2-8 on the road while going 0-1 in neutral site games. After this weekend, Stan States final road trip will be at Cal State San Marcos (February 20) and Sonoma State (February 22). The Warriors' final home games are against No. 3 Cal State Dominguez Hills (February 13), Cal State Los Angeles (February 15), CaL Poly Pomona (February 27), and Cal State San Bernardino (March 1).
DOUBLE-DOUBLES: Da'Myiah Lewis recorded her sixth double-double this past weekend while
Daja Scott-Mitchell has recorded five double-doubles this season. Lewis is averaging 15.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. She has recorded 31 steals while dishing out 34 assists and shooting 72.1% from the charity stripe. Scott-Mitchell is averaging 11.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game while shooting 45% from the field. The senior transfer has blocked 13 assists to go with her 29 steals.

The Wildcats lost 78-73 at Cal State San Bernardino and defeated nationally ranked Cal Poly Pomona 77-72. They are averaging 75.0 points per game while giving up 63.6 points per game. Chico is outrebounding its opponents 40.9 to 32.6. Three players are averaging double figures in scoring in Makenzie LaPorte (15.3 ppg), Meadow Aragon (15.1 ppg), and Jordan Allred (13.4 ppg). Aragon is averaging a team high 7.7 rebounds per game to go with her team leading 58% shooting from the field and team high 28 blocked shots. LUMBERJACKS IN REVIEW: Entering its game on Thursday against Cal State Monterey Bay, Cal Poly Humboldt is 5-15 overall and 4-10 in the CCAA. They have lost their last seven games in a row including both this weekend on the road at nationally ranked Cal Poly Pomona (69-34) and Cal State San Bernardino (57-43). Humboldt is averaging 58.1 points per game while giving up 69.1 points per game. The 'Jacks are being outrebounded 36.5 to 35.2. Kyori Lloyd leads the team with her 9.0 scoring average and 5.7 rebounding average and 21 treys made. Kalija Lesane has dished out a team leading 60 assists to go with her team high 41 steals. Jadis Watson has made a team high 45.5% of her attempts from the field while Lesane has connected on a team high 79% of her attempts from the line.
