TURLOCK, Calif.---- Stan State men's and women's track and field team celebrated their twenty seniors during the two-day Kim Duyst Invite at Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium. During today's final day of competition, the Warriors recognized their seniors in a ceremony on the track. The Warriors had six first-placers in their respective events at the Kim Duyst in
Tanner Gerhart (5,000 section A),
Alexis Nino (hammer),
Trent Lauderdale (400 hurdles),
Mason Oliveira (5000 section B),
Tessa Vasquez (1500), and
Yahaira Zuniga (5,000).
Stan State had six Warriors capture their event starting with thrower
Alexis Nino with her throw of 52.50m (172-03) in the hammer.
Trent Lauderdale ran a 53.85 in the 400 hurdles to capture that event.
Tanner Gerhart moved into eighth on the Warrior all-time list with his first-place time of 14:39.47 the 5,000-meter run section A race.
Mason Oliveira ran a 15:08.98 to capture the 5,000-meter section B. Over in the women's 5,000,
Yahaira Zuniga ran a 17:16.75 to finish in first place and move into sixth place on Stan State's top ten list.
Tessa Vasquez ran a 4:42.85 to capture the 800-meter.
The Warriors had several other top five placers. Finishing in second in the 5,000-meter was
Noheli Ron (18:05.03) while in the men's 5000
Dominic Robles was second (14:52.10) and
Abe Alsaidi was third (15:10.57).
Jackson Oliveira ran a 15:33.16 to finish in second in the section B of the 50000. Robles was fifth in the 1500-meter (4:02.82).
In the women's 800, Vasquez ran a 2:20.50 to finish in second place.
Adin Dibble ran a fourth-place time of 1:59.20 to finish in fourth pace.
Rionna Wallace finished in third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.78.
In the men's 4x100 relay, Stan State's team of
Eris Hutchins,
Jaheim Williams, Jaevin Saywer, and
Trent Lauderdale finished with a time of 41.34. That time is the fifth fastest time in school history. The women's 4x100 relay team of
Mila Real,
Rionna Wallace,
Alejandra Yepez, and
Reyna Dismukes was fifth (48.95).
Lamont Lane had a second-place throw of 173-07 (52.90m) in the hammer while
Mason Phillips finished in fourth place in the shot put (48-01.75, 14.67m).
Joshua Shimoda finished in fifth place in the javelin (156-02, 47.59m).
Stan State will return to competition, March 29, in Fresno, Calif., when the Warriors travel to Fresno, Calif., to participate in the West Coast Relays which will be hosted by Fresno State University.
