BOSTON, Mass.--- Stan State's
Annie Wild improved her NCAA Division II provisional time in the mile this afternoon at the Boston Last Chance Meet. Wild ran a school record time of 4:39.92 in today's field. With her time, Wild has the third fastest time in the nation in DII behind Colorado State's Pueblo Halen Braybrook (4:39.25) and Adams State's Tristian Spence (4:39.33).
The Warrior duo of
Jacqueline Sanchez-Silva and
Crystal Hernandez ran in the 5,000-meter run today in Boston. Sanchez-Silva had a fourth-place time of 17:15.64 in her heat while Hernandez ran a 18:07.72 to finish in eighth place.
Besides Wild provisionally quafliying for the indoor nationals in the mile, Stan State has four other provisional times this indoor season. Wild is currently 20
th in the 800 (2:10.34). Sanchez-Silva is 22
nd in the 5000-meter her time of 16:46.10 from earlier this season. The Distance Medley Relay Team of Sanchez-Silva, Hernandez, Wild, and
Mila Real are 23
rd with their time of 11:40.49. The duo of
Yahaira Zuniga and Hernandez are 48
th (9:47.33) and 55
th (9:49.73) respectively in the 5000-meter run.
The NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championship Committee will announce the field for the 2024-25 NCAA Divsiion II Indoor Track & Field Championships this Tuesday, March 4 on
www.ncaa.com. This year's championships are set for March 13-15 at the Fall Creek Pavilion at Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Ind.
