LOS ANGELES, Calif.---- Stan State's first two days in competition at three invitationals in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, the trio of
Annie Wild,
Jackson Oliveira, and
Devin Hernandez led the way for the Warriors. Wild ran a time of 2:08.96 to improve her qualifying time in the 800-meter run at the Bryan Clay Invitational today. She is now 14
th in the nation, second in the CCAA, and second on the Warriors' top ten list. Oliveira ran a 14:15.54 this morning in the 5,000-meter run at the Bryan Clay Invitational. The freshman runner is now 25
th in the nation, second in the CCAA, and second on the Warriors' top ten list.
Devin Hernandez captured the shot put at the Cal State L.A. Twilight yesterday with a throw of 53.7.75 (16.35m), which places him sixth on the Warrior top ten list. He also won the hammer at the Leopard Invite today with a throw of 180-1 (50.98m). Hernandez is third in the CCAA and sixth on the Warrior top ten list. He is third in the CCAA in the hammer.
NCAA DII QUALIFYING TIMES: The duo of
Annie Wild and
Jackson Oliveira each recorded NCAA Division II qualifying times for the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in May in Pueblo, Colo. Wild improved her time in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.96 which placed her 56
th in today's field at the Bryan Clay Invite in Azusa, Calif. She is now 14
th in the nation and first in the CCAA. Oliveira ran a time of 14:15.54 in the 5000-meter run this morning to qualify him for the nationals. The freshman runner is now 25
th in the nation and second in the CCAA.
STAN STATE RECORD BOOKS: Six Stan State track and field student-athletes moved into or moved up in the Stan State record books in their record books.
Jackson Oliveira is now second in the 5000-meter run (14:15.54) and
Dominic Robles is third (14:18.14).
Annie Wild is fourth in the 800-meter run (2:08.96).
Reyna Dismukes is fifth in the triple jump (37-5.75, 11.42m).
Devin Hernandez's throw of 53-7.75 (16.35m) ties him for sixth in the shot put.
Mila Real ran a 25.00 in the 200-meter dash to move her to seventh on the Warriors' top ten list.
Abe Alsaidi is now eighth in the 5000-meter run after his run of 14:32.85 today.
TOP FIVE: The Warriors had 21 top five placers in their respective events at the Bryan Clay Invite, Cal State L.A. Twi-light, and the Leopard Invite the past two days in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area.

UP NEXT: Stan State finishes its week tomorrow, Friday, April 18 when the Warriors compete in the Mt. SAC Relays (Walnut, Calif.), Bryan Clay Invite (Azusa, Calif.), and the Leopard Invite (LaVerne, Calif.). The Warriors will then be off until they host the 2025 CCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium, May 1-3, 2025.
