RENO, Nev. — Stan State women's indoor track & field opened the Nevada Invitational on Friday with an impressive first day at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, highlighted by 10 personal-best performances, one NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark, and continued movement within the Warrior record book.
"Today the ladies got off to an amazing start to the meet, having 10 personal bests with one NCAA provisional qualifying mark," said head coach of Stan State women's indoor/men's and women's outdoor track & field
Troy Johnson. "Annie (Wild) showed her strength work is paying off as she broke her own meet record running alone for much of the race. The women continue to rewrite the Stanislaus State all-time list in all event areas, which shows the determination and work ethic these ladies have. We look forward to continued success tomorrow, and great job by the coaching staff in preparing these ladies for competition."
In the mile, the Warriors were led by
Annie Wild, who captured first place while breaking her own meet record and running alone for much of the race, clocking 4:46.11.Wild is currently sixth in the nation with her NCAA Division II provisional time.
Izzy Soto finished second at 4:57.12, a performance that moved her to No. 6 all-time at Stan State.
Stevie Holguin placed fourth in 5:04.18.
Crystal Hernandez crossed the line seventh at 5:08.34, and
Bela Moreno rounded out the top 10 in 10th place with a time of 5:15.42.
Roseli Diaz added a time of 5:27.07, followed by
Aubrey Webb at 5:34.21 and
Valorie Jimenez at 5:46.25 to complete a deep showing for Stan State in the distance events.
In the throws,
Alexis Nino led the Warriors in the weight throw with a mark of 53-7 (16.33m), continuing her early-season momentum.
Donielle Willis added a solid effort in the shot put at 43-7 ¾ (13.50m), while
Sienna Hawkins posted 40-6 ½ (12.35m) in the weight throw.
Grace Langenfield rounded out the group with a mark of 35-2 ½ (10.73m).
Stan State's hurdle group also impressed.
Mila Real opened the meet with a 9.34 in the 60-meter hurdles, a performance that moved her to No. 5 all-time at Stan State.
Ahlia Albergottie followed closely at 9.53, which places her No. 9 all-time in the program record book.
The jumps crew added another highlight as
Reyna Dismukes posted a strong 16-8 ¾ (5.10m) in the long jump, while
Richiya Washington recorded 15-2 (4.62m).
By day's end, Stan State athletes continued to climb the program's all-time lists, reflecting the team's depth, preparation, and competitive edge early in the indoor season.

Stan State begins the second and final day of the Nevada Invitational on Saturday at 10 a.m. with field events, opening with the shot put featuring
Alexis Nino and
Donielle Willis, and the triple jump with
Reyna Dismukes and
Richiya Washington.
Running events get underway at 11 a.m. with the 400 meters, including
Mila Real,
Ahlia Albergottie, and
Megan Silva. The 800 meters follows at noon with
Crystal Hernandez,
Valorie Jimenez,
Roseli Diaz, and
Izzy Soto. At 12:35 p.m., the Warriors return to the track for the 200 meters with Real and Albergottie.
The afternoon continues with the 600 meters at 1:45 p.m., featuring
Annie Wild and
Megan Silva, before closing the meet in the 3,000 meters at 2:30 p.m. with
Stevie Holguin,
Bela Moreno,
Gianna Bomarito, and
Aubrey Webb.
Following the Nevada Invitational, Stan State will travel to Seattle, Wash., to compete at the UW Invite on Jan. 30 (Fri) and Jan. 31 (Sat) at the Dempsey Indoor Center. Event times are to be announced.
The 2025–26 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled for Mar. 12 (Thu) through Mar. 14 (Sat) at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va.
