Stan State Travels to Seattle for UW Invite and Mile City

TURLOCK, Calif.--- The Stanislaus State women's indoor track and field team will continue its 2025-26 indoor season with a two-meet trip to Seattle, Wash., competing at the UW Invite on Friday, January 30, followed by Mile City on Saturday, January 31, at the Dempsey Indoor Center on the campus of the University of Washington.

Under the direction of head coach Troy Johnson, the Warriors will send 10 student-athletes to compete against a deep national field as they pursue qualifying marks and continue building momentum toward the postseason.

UW Invite – Friday, January 30
Stan State will open competition Friday morning with field events beginning at 10:00 a.m. Alexis Nino will compete in the weight throw at 10:00 a.m. and return to the ring for the shot put at 2:00 p.m. Reyna Dismukes will represent the Warriors in the long jump, also scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

On the track, the Warriors will open the day in the 60-meter hurdles prelims at 10:00 a.m. with Ahlia Albergottie and Mila Real. Stevie Holguin will run the 5,000 meters at 11:15 a.m. Sprint action resumes at 2:45 p.m. in the 200 meters with Albergottie, followed by a large Stan State contingent in the 800 meters at 3:35 p.m., including Annie Wild, Izzy Soto, Crystal Hernandez, Megan Silva, and Bela Moreno. The Warriors will close Friday's competition with the 400 meters at 4:45 p.m., featuring Real.

Mile City – Saturday, January 31
Stan State will return to the Dempsey Indoor Center on Saturday for Mile City, with sections and start times to be determined. The Warriors scheduled to compete include Crystal Hernandez, Annie Wild, Bela Moreno, Izzy Soto, Megan Silva, and Stevie Holguin, highlighting Stan State's middle-distance and distance groups in one of the premier indoor distance meets on the West Coast.

Meet Notes / Among Teams Competing
The UW Invite and Mile City traditionally feature some of the deepest and most competitive fields of the indoor season, providing an important opportunity for the Warriors to chase NCAA qualifying marks and gain experience in a championship-style environment. Programs scheduled to compete in Seattle include Washington, Cal Poly, Cal Poly Pomona, Western Washington, Central Washington, Sacramento State, Puget Sound, Hawaiʻi, UC Santa Barbara, TCU, UCLA, Portland, Oregon State, California, Utah State, and San Diego State, among others.

NCAA Division II Provisional Qualifiers
Stan State enters the Seattle weekend with two athletes holding NCAA Division II Indoor provisional qualifying marks. Annie Wild currently ranks sixth nationally in the mile after running 4:46.28 at the Nevada Invitational on January 16, while Alexis Nino sits 23rd in the nation in the shot put with a provisional mark of 13.89 meters (45-7), recorded at the Silver State Invitational. Both performances position the Warriors well as the team continues its push toward the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for March 12–14 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Warriors in the Record Books
Several Warriors currently hold top marks in the Stan State indoor record books. Mila Real ranks second all-time in both the 200 meters and 400 meters and sits fifth in the 60-meter hurdles. Reyna Dismukes holds three top-10 marks, ranking eighth in the 60 meters, second in the triple jump, and third in the long jump. Ahlia Albergottie is ninth all-time in the 60-meter hurdles, while Alexis Nino leads the program as the school record holder in the shot put.

Up Next / Rest of the Indoor Season
Following the UW Invite and Mile City, Stan State will return to Reno, Nev., for the Wolf Pack Classic, scheduled for February 6–7 at the Reno–Tahoe Indoor Track. The Warriors will then head back to Seattle for the Husky Classic, February 13–14, at the Dempsey Indoor Center to close out the regular-season indoor schedule.

The 2025-26 indoor campaign will conclude at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, set for March 12–14 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va., where the Warriors will look to convert provisional marks into national championship berths.
