SEATTLE, Wash. — Stanislaus State Indoor Track & Field turned in a strong showing Saturday morning at the Mile City Meet, hosted at the Dempsey Indoor Center, highlighted by an elite performance from Annie Wild and multiple standout efforts in the women's 1 Mile Run.
"Great day for our distance crew with four personal bests and a national qualifying mark from Annie," said coach Johnson. "Overall, it was a great weekend of competition, and the ladies showed their competitive spirit matched with their team support of one another. Great job by Coach Holman, Heiner, and Ballinger."
Wild delivered a national-caliber race, running the mile in 4:41.94, a time that provisionally qualifies her for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships and currently ranks fourth nationally. The performance continues Wild's outstanding indoor season and places her among the top competitors in the country.
Crystal Hernandez followed with a breakthrough performance of her own, finishing the mile in 5:00.82. The time moves Hernandez into 10th place on the Stanislaus State all-time indoor list in the event.
Izzy Soto also impressed, clocking 4:57.76 in the mile to finish under the five-minute mark, while Stevie Holguin recorded a time of 5:07.77. Megan Silva rounded out the Warrior efforts in the event with a time of 5:21.42.
The Mile City Meet provided the Warriors an opportunity to compete against top-level competition at one of the nation's premier indoor facilities, with multiple athletes delivering season-best and program-ranking performances.
NCAA PROVISIONAL:
After Saturday's competition, Annie Wild has provisionally qualified for the 2025–26 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, with her time of 4:41.94.

Following Saturday Crystal Hernandez has moved herself into 10th all-time for the Warriors in the 1 Mile Run.

The Warriors will then shift focus to the Wolf Pack Classic, hosted by Nevada on Friday, Feb. 6 and Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Reno-Tahoe Indoor Track. The two-day meet will provide another strong test against regional and national competition as Stan State continues its indoor season.
